Strong mini color combos

Post by richardabshire »

Here are strong color combos for minis. Keep in mind these colors are facile and coming from Fields fabrics.
Pentagons and hexagons
green and yellow
black and white
dark green and green(THE MONEY BAG)
purple and orange
neon yellow and eclipse
yellow and blue
red and yellow
blue and neon yellow
orange and olive green
dark red and orange
turq. and orange
Some of these combos can be mixed. All have been tested in rough conditions. The life is slightly better, but the performance of the bag with the right colors has gone up considerably. The break-in time is cut down a little. The key element in these combos is the performance of the bag. The life of a shredbag is short at best. You already know that bags wear out and need to be replaced, so while you have that bag, the performance should be priority. I would much rather own a bag that break-ins and performs the way I want it to compared to fighting a bag to break-in and then still be rolly or too floppy.Hope this helps.Richie

That's really cool of you to post this, to help people out a bit. But I'm wondering, when I ordered my mini from you I asked for you to pick colors that would be good together. You sewed me dark blue/purplish pents and orange hexes, but it's not on the list. Forget to leave it out? Change your mind about the colors?

Peace..

No, no, no. Your color combo is fine. At the bottom of my post, I said some of these combos can be mixed. The yellows and oranges are very close and the blues and greens are very close. The reds, black and tan are close to each other, bit thicker than the rest. This is one reason why black and red take so long to break-in. The blue and orange is an awesome combo and can be switched around to orange and blue.Richie

hmm.. how's orange with light blue pents for a standard (i already got one, just wondering how it'd last and perform)? or white with green pents?

Those combos should be fine. These combos are more directed at the mini. The standard size has more combos because it is larger. There is more fabric and less filler on a standard and will take longer to break-in, but will last longer in most cases. The smaller the bag, the more specific you have to be when performance is an issue.Hope this helps,Richie

What you should do is just make all the chioce bags. All the colors that you think would be performance colors you should list and we should choose from that. That way, we won't complain about crappy color combos and bad bags or break-in times being extended. Just make performance color bags and sell those.

What do you think?

Well, I never think... :?

Of course I READ them but what I'm saying is that he should make only those color bags. nothing else. If yellow and green (hypothetically speaking) is a bad combo, then no footbags would be called an abshire if it is yellow and green....

every post jericho makes has the :? :? :?

guy

haha

no thats a bad idea jericho cause then no one could have a unique abshire.

and Abshire is the name of a stitcher.. If he made a different combination it would surely still be called an abshire

Well, yeah Henry's right... I guess but it would be bad to have an abshire the isn't unique because that's the point of custom bags.... great thinking though henry.. why didn't I think of that..... :?
