What 5 new moves would you choose?

Post by Posi-Cole »

Say you suddenly had some sort God-like power and you could add 5 new moves to your footbag repetoire just like that. These 5 moves you choose you would now be able to do with relative ease, on both sides. Which moves would you choose?

I think it will be interesting to see if people go for 5 HUGE moves that would be crowd pleasers, or if people pick 5 moves that would be logical to have down in their progression as a footbag player.

For me I'm going the logical route, pretty much all of these moves are ones I've hit before and/or am close to hitting, and would simply like to be able to hit them anytime I want, both sides:

Torque (original, I can do crispy)
Barrage
Blurry whirl
Paradox Blender
Barfly (Then I could do barfly > barrage, which would be sweet :)

There's my 5, who's next?

I also meant to throw in the stipulation that you can't list a move with a bunch of different concepts in it, and say your reasoning is because then you will be good at all of those concepts as well.

For example, if you choose an atomic symposium whirling swirl, you would be able to do just that move, but not necessarily anything else atomic, symposium, a whirl, or a swirl.

It's probably less logical to pick 5 smaller moves. Here you have godlike abilities and instead of working the smaller moves that you are most likely to hit with enough practice, you go and choose those 5 moves; whereas you could have chosen 5 moves that are almost totally impossible and you may never hit or see hit in your lifetime.

So with that in mind.

Nemesis swirl
Surging Alpine Superfly
Blurry Armageddon
Symposium Whirling Swirling Twirl
Symposium Atomic Delusional Legover

Okay then, so to prevent this thread from being derailed into a contest of who can make up the craziest possible moves, I'll extend the criteria to state 5 moves WITHIN reason, that you think you may be able to do by the end of your footbag career.

Okay, well that blows. I figured I had chosen moves that weren't totally impossible, just impossible for me.

so...

Mobius
Marius
Bedwetter
Scorpians Tail
Void

I've hit all but Void, but never had any of them as Bread and Butter so it would be nice to be able to hit them all both sided with ease. Though I fear I'm too near the end of my freestyle career anyway, so I guess they are equally as good as Nemesis Swirl.

I would choose:

PS Whirl
Ripped Warrior
Scorpion's Tail
Phoenix
Ripstein

I'm going to work my butt off so that I can hit at least most of these by this time next year. I have all of my basics down and usually hit 3 adds and 4 adds during my runs, so I should be able to get these by next year!!
