Adidas Nastases

Well I just got my Nastases in today. They very similar to lavers except the outside surface is like a "table-cloth" type of mesh (different than Lavers) and the inside surface is like a net type fabric. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows how do mod these (other than the stripes) and can you mod the layers AND the stripes without ripping shit? (Max?) That pretty much does it, they're pretty sik too

If they aren't very 'moddable' I'll just wear them as regular shoes. Here's a few pics...

I think I posted this elsewhere: I haven't modded the insides of my Nastases and havn't heard of anyone who has. So I really can't give advice/opinions about it. I did take the stripes off though and that's easy as pie.

I got a pair of these about a month ago. They are possible to modify, but it is a bit harder than with Lavers. I've only cut the insides and the toes... First you have to remove the stripes, which is easy..
Then you cut out the thin 'net' layer from the inside, which is actually easy too, cause nothing really can go wrong as the material underneath is this thick canvas stuff.
Now you've still got two layers of material left, the thick canvas (is that what it's called?) and the thin 'net' on the outside. The difficult part is cutting out the thick stuff without cutting the thin stuff!! I recommend you just go easy. Try and slice into the canvas carefully untill you can stick a tiny screwdriver (or whatever) in between the two layers of material, and gently try and separate them from each other. You may need several tools: knife, scissors and something small and pointy(!) like a screwdriver. Those small curved nail-scissors are good for cutting the canvas out of the toe...
I hope I'm not just getting you confused with all this......!!??!!
It's well worth the effort I reckon, 'cause when you're done, your shoes will have surfaces that are so thin they are almost transparent. A lot thinner than modded Lavers!!
Like I said, I've only had mine for about a month, so I wouldn't yet be able to say anything about the quality or durability of them. But they seem promising.....

Hey Lise, can you get Nastases in Denmark?
Just a word of caution though: the outside "net" is really really thin, and the one on my nastases has been ripped to shreds a while ago.
If you do tricks fairly low and often scrape the ground with the outside of your shoe (I do this with swirls for example), the outside layer will not last long AT ALL.
I really would consider keeping the middle layer, it's a lot more resistant, but of course a lot heavier too.

Max: No Natases in Denmark. Internet... Turned out to actually be a little more expensive than Lavers.... but Lavers don't have stripes...!!

As I said, I haven't had them for so long, so I can say nothing about durability, but this net sure seems very thin and fragile. About hitting the ground with your shoes, I imagine this mostly goes for the 'outsides'... I didn't modify the outsides of them, cause I wanted to keep the stripes and also cause I'm not so much into ouside-delays and such anyway...
Maybe Max is right. Maybe the middle layer is better! I guess time will show..

Well, to be honest I'm not sure. We were 5 who bought them at the same time, and the guy who took care of the ordering and all that, is out of the country at the moment. I'll ask him as soon as he's back what the name of the site was...

Apparently you can get them in Sweden. I was in Stockholm last spring and also saw Lavers on the shelves in sport stores.... -but I suppose this is not very useful information....

I took a closer look at the inside and it looks just like normal lavers except theres that thin net layer on top of that. So, I might be modding that pretty soon here and Ill put up some pics.

they are almost identical to lavers except they have a different shape....so i would imagine support would be the same. i fully modded a pair and really dont like them. very slippery material..clippers easily slide off. mesh is much more grippy. there are also only 8 lacing holes. im never going to use them so i have them packed away in the closet for a rainy day. it wasnt really worth wasting 60 some odd dollars to see if they would make a good footbag shoe. people, stick to lavers. but if anyone disagrees with me and wants to buy them they are up for grabs - $20. brand new
