Little Boy and mirage (story time II)

I was kicking in the local YMCA gym the other day because it was raining, when I heard a small voice from behind me say "Can you do mirage?" I turned around to see a small boy looking for an answer. I asked how the boy knew the trick and he replied "It's my big brother's trick." After an explanation I found out it was the hardest trick his brother could do and the boy wanted to see it.

I was about to woo the boy by busting like 20 mirages in a row and pixie mirage, and blurry symposium reverse mirage when finally an idea came to me. I attempted blurry torque.....on my flipside.....about 6 times (I've never come close yet) and needless to say they were drops. Finally I said to him "Your brother is too good, I can't hit mirage." And the boy ran away with an ear-to-ear grin.

I felt good after that, and I thought it was an interesting story. I've been getting approached by people much more often lately during my practice sessions. I think more people are becoming aware of the sport and more are becoming inquisitive about it. Does anyone else get approached while kicking?

While Conrad was up and while we were in Grande Prairie for track & field we had a session outside the school, completely forgetting that it was a school day for them.

Man, when the circle kickers came out word spread like wild fire that there were two pro hacky sackers hanging around. Fuck, it was so awesome!! One kid actually said (and I quote):

"You guys make this like a sport"

Yeah!! Now that's promotion baby! There were two guys there, however, that really stood out from the 20 people who circled Conrad and I. They were the veterans of their school, being able to hit refractions and clippers, along with a deadly arsenal of Dragonfly/Butterfly Kicks and It hink probably their best tricks was like a Dragonfly Refraction or an ATW Pendelum. Anyways, the four of us had a real fun time kicking and shredding. We gave them the addy to footbag.org and I can only hope that they checked it out and kept up with their freestyling ways because DAAAAMN. They would be really good if they wanted to be.

Really cool story, it was nice of you to do that. But I just thought, what if he saw his bother perform a mirage sometime, and he saw you trying a different trick, lol. It would be a little akward.... I can see you saying "oooh, THAT mirage... I got the tricks confused for a second"

Thanks guys. I was hoping the story wouldn't seem boring to everyone else because I thought it was really cool.
