PS Whirl
PS Whirl
Hey guys, just a quick question on PS Whirls. When you do the whirling motion, does it have to be a whirl in order for it to get the paradox or can it be a reverse whirl too? Cause I've been getting really close to hitting this but with the reverse whirl instead of the whirl. Thanks for the help!
P.S. Any helpful tips for PS Whirl will also be appreciated!

It has to be a whirl. Far symp reverse whirl doesn't get a pdx add.
Some tips for PS Whirl:
Try to plant the setting leg as quickly as possible and you should be jumping off that leg as the bag gets to it's peak.
Lift your knee up to do the dex and bring it down as quickly as possible after the dex.
Watch videos of people like Vasek doing the move and try to imitate them as closely as possible.
I would recommend not practicing this move on one side over and over as it will destroy your shins. If I have a session where I want to drill my symp whirls, I'll have about 5-10 attempts on both sides and then move onto something else, and come back to it every 20 minutes or so.

PS Whirl was my third 5-add. Ah those were the days...
I love that trick. Not only does it look sick mid-run, but it is also a sweet trick to pull off for an audience too. Not only that, but I thin it's the best looking trick for an illustration or something (like Flipsider had at one point).

Yes, PS Whirl is one of those tricks that I consistently "dont" hit. However, whenever i do miss it, its not by much, mainly it just snags my leg by less than an inch or something silly like that.
Therefore, i don't like PS whirls (yet) as i can't do them very well :p
But i do, overall, think they are a really awesome trick.

When the bag actually landed back on my foot I couldnt believe it, I tossed it straight to my hand and let out a violent roar. I tried them again yesterday and I got a few on the side Ive already hit and I footed the other side. OH! and I footed whirlygig a few times too. I tried mullet once and it was so tantalizingly close. I knew not to keep trying because I am equally close to ducking clipper. Basics Tom, basics.
Krafty: props on your ps whirlage, I know how you feel!
Strange, this seems to be a bunch of peoples third five.
Tonight when I session I'm going to try to hit ps whirl>ps whirl, I think it can happen since pdx whirl>ps whirl almost went down yesterday.

It's my second 5 add move! I've hit it a couple more times over the past few days!! So, I guess it's not luck after all!
I' ve been tryin' it flipside too, and I kinda got close; PS Whirl > PS Whirl would be sweet to hit!! Nice job with the whirlygig Tom although I don't know what that is haha! Someone care to fill me in? Thanks!
