Changes are coming

Post by richardabshire »

There will be some changes concerning Abshire bags. There will be a new site just for these bags and all the options, colors and color patterns and advice on building the best bag that money can buy. Blurryworld will be going through some changes and will emerge as a different site with a more progressive style for the new and advance players. If you can't find the Abshire bag you want on other sites, then call me anytime. Leave a message and a return number and we can take care of it. My phone is 858-488-2133. Odering a custom over the phone might prove to be easier than other options. If the call is to expensive, them email me and do it that way.Hope this helps,Richie

There is a need for completely custom bags just from all the horror stories I hear. The biggest problem is color selection. Even when two colors look great together, they might be the wrong combo. For example, red and black look awesome together, but both are very thick when put together. If the combo was yellow and black then the thinner yellow would help the bag break-in and perform properly. One thick and one thin, or two thin colors, or even two slightly thicker colors can work if break-in time is not an issue. I would rather make a specific bag for every player and have the performance be the key issue. Colors can be made to work for you more than you think. I personally only use color combos for performance and visibilty. This way I know the bag will break-in and will be visible in all types of light and can repeat this combo again and again for a stable performance. I would like to hear opinions from all of you in the area of color custom bags. What I mean is a 3 bag set, all the same color combo, same weight and performance. This would allow a player to become more comfortable and trusting of their bag. This type of order would come with a cheaper price and a free refill pack just incase there are any problems with filler. My idea behind this is to eleviate the worry of buying a good bag to shred with and inspire others to push their level to epic proportions. Hope this helps,Richie

I would still like a couple color options on my bags. Even if its more in the area of pick 1 of these 5 color schemes that all work well. That way I wouldn't get my bag confused with other peoples. I don't know I think there should be at least more then one color combo but thats just me. The one thing I am a little confused about is are you going to start selling them in 3 bag sets? If all three bags in the set where the same colour I wouldn't mind, I would just like it if you could get three bag sets with different colour schemes.

The color combos that I have in mind are in the range of 15 to 20 different color combos. There are some great colors out there, but the best combos are finally coming out. The three bag set can be your choice, all the same or all different. The idea of having your own color combo really interests me more than the other things mentioned. If you have a color combo that you wish to use alot, let me know and I can set up some kind of account where when you order, I already know the type, color and weight yu want unless you say otherwise. I am just trying to expand this very tight market. Hope this helps,Richie

Wow that sounds great Richie. I was just hoping there wasn't going to be like only one color combo so everyone how has an abshire bag has the exact same thing. 15 - 20 color combos would be great in my opinion. Thanks for all you dedication to the sport, can't wait for the changes...

What about that revolutionary bag? Custom thread, meterial and filler that would cost loads. Any progress to report on that?
There is always a bigger trick.

The Stealth will be the next bag, the Nucleus will come out later this year or early 2005. Research and testing for the nucleus has changed. The final product will be different than I expected. New materials have given way to make a better bag, but making sure it works is my first priority. Right now I am working on internal construction for several new bags. My purpose is to make a top notch bag for all skill levels and all types of players who are looking for specific performance when they shred. This has led to building my own site for this purpose alone. I hope all the crap that has happened recently has not affected your interest. We have real lives with real issues and through all that comes the enlightenment we seek. Hope this helps and I wish you all a happy fourth of July.

Sorry this is a little off topic but are you going to be selling footbags at worlds? I have played with one of your bags and it was not fully worked in but still it was very enjoyable.

Seems like youve got everything going good richard, congrats :)

Wouldn't it be awesome if you could go to your local sporting store and pick up a pre-ordered bag from one of the top stitchers? And hopefully the circulation would be quicker... because I was just thinking... why wouldn't you just order it to your house. Hmm...

*EDIT*: "Cottage" for the Canadians. I was just corrected by a Canadian friend.
