Paradox Miraging Symposium Reverse Whirl

Post by Shredster »

http://www3.hmc.edu/~mwhansen/Pdxmiragi ... vwhirl.wmv

A few things on this: First of all, i'm concerned about the "the" factor, second of all, i'm concerned about whether or not my symposium reverse whirl is in fact one of those, or rather a symposium butterfly imitation...

Anyways, i still think it looks cool.

Note: Apparantly the movie has been deleted - ask Chris for more details - jeremy

Based on the first few posts, i realize that i haven't hit this trick fully and therefore, the video is going to be removed.

But beware...i will hit it cleanly in the future, mawahahaa

chris,

looks like a clean pdox dada curve. I don't see what's unparadox about that, michal... it's just as paradox as a pdx drifter.

Matt, Dada Curve = Stepping Op Dada. Right? Pdx Dada Curve = Pdx Miraging Dada. Right? And now, Miraging is a downtime concept, where you do In-to-Out dex and then plant dexing foot. He didn't plant, so it's not Miraging. It's only Dada.

Or maybe I'm wrong?

Dada curve isn't stepping. It's a downtime thing. Pdx miraging butterfly is pdx dada curve. Dada curve is a miraging butterfly.

da da curve is a downtime ripwalk with no plant (miraging butterfly with no plant between dexes.) it has both a clipper set and toe set version

if you set it from the toe and you plant in the middle it is a quantum butterfly (toe ripwalk)

i don't know what it would be called if you plant in the middle of a paradox da da curve. i haven't heard a name for pdx mirage set? i guess i would call it a paradox ripwalk for lack of any better term

Paradox Miraging = Quasi
Da Da Curve = Stepping Hoping Butterfly
It's not plant after first dex.
In Paradox Da Da Curve isn't any plant after paradox miraging dex too.
Paradox Da Da Curve = Clip >> Same In > (no plant while) Op Out > Op Clip

Blah, Dada isn't *always* stupid. I msyelf have never hit one clean, because I don't like the feel. I've never had drive to actuall drill them. However, when someone hits one cleanly, you can tell. It looks Niiiiice.

Yeah, i got kind of pissed off at myself because i thought i had hit a good big move and it turns out, i hit one of the silliest 5 adds there are.

Anyways, yeah, that would be a paradox dada curve with a really big symposium butterfly.

I only took the video down because it wasn't what i was hoping it was, and when i found out from about 5 posts that it wasn't a paradox miraging symposium reverse whirl, i decided to take it off.

Thanks guys though...it just sucks when you think you hit a large move and you don't. Then you feel bad.

I don't mind da da curves and one day plan on getting good at them (at the moment I have other priorities). I find that often when you see people hit them, they look unclean even though they aren't. Maybe the move just looks unclean. However, I think the way to get them to look good is to do the move in three seperate parts. Rather than jumping over the bag with both legs in one motion - do it in two - do it like a scissor kick with your feet pointed down, and do the stall latish - like after the second dexing leg has landed - this means you have to do the dexes higher and earlier, but it definitly makes the move look better.

Jeremy, next time i see you, i'll send you the video. I was just dissapointed at my trick that wasn't. However, i think that my fake paradox miraging symposium rev whirl looked really cool as a paradox dadacurve...and i think my symp rev whirl was there, just wasn't very rev whirlish, but i think it was there...

Sorry i deleted the video. I was just upset, and i'd rather not go ask mike hansen to upload the same video again.
