A two day project of mine. I had a fucking ejaculation of creativity. I've never completed a track in that length of time before.

Here you are:

Ascension - Someone Like you (Afterthought Mix)

Note: I am Afterthought. Also, I don't want to hear from the electro-haters.

Not my style, but well done! Very chill! I was never very big into the trance stuff. More of DnB fan myself. How much more do you have? I used to write some electronic music that I still have online. Here's a link to one of my songs if you're interested:

That is very good man. I enjoyed it. I'm more into DnB as well. Need a little action. But that was really good. Thanks.

hah funny story

I was listening to the Original Mix, and suddenly I hear this phrase of lyrics I totally didn't utilize at all in my mix. I was kinda confused, because I mean, I chopped up the acapella into separate samples...and I didn't recall hearing those vocals.

I go back to the acapella in Sound Forge. SURE ENOUGH I'd completely overlooked a 16 bar phrase of vox. An entire verse. I couldn't believe it. :)

At any rate, if you've already downloaded this, and intend to share it, or will be sharing inadvertently over a p2p program or whatever...couldja do me a huge favour and delete the one you've got and re-download it?

I hate having two versions out there.

I liked them both. Maybe the first one a little more than the second - chilled is good at 2 am!

The intro to the second was too long and quiet (if we were kicking to it, someone would have skipped to the next song before we even heard anything I think)

Oh shit my bad! The original totally wasn't done by Paul Oakenfold. Turns out a silly person out there named the acapella mp3 incorrectly, and fooled me into thinking it was.

It was actually done by Ascension, aka Chakra, aka Space Brothers. It's still the same file, the name was just changed, and respectively so was the above link.

If you intend to share the mp3 with anyone, I'd really appreciate if you made the correction. No need giving credit to a guy that had nothing to do with the production. :)

Thanks y'all!

When I try opening it in a media player from the server, it starts playing but once the temp file is downloaded I get a connection error and can't listen. I heard the first like 30 seconds or so though. I'd like to hear the rest :(.

Why don't you just download it all to your computer, and then open it from there.

I figured that it would do the same thing, maybe not though. I'll try that now.

EDIT - Yeah it worked! Good stuff man, really chill track. I'd love to hear more from ya.
