Robin's Footblog

Post by Juice »

Welcome to my footblog.

My name is Robin Davies and I am 14 years old. I use a J-Bag and a James Hermey Bag. I first kicked a footbag in 2001 at a tee-ball camp, but i didnt start freestyle until 2003.

I am a tiltless player and Im hoping to go guiltless by the end of the year.

My first 2 add was Around the World, my first 3 add was a butterfly kick and my first 4 add was Paradon, first 5 add was Phoenix.

Tricks I want to hit soon

Barfly
Toe Torque
Atom Smasher
Pixie ss Double Legover

Yesterday I didnt really shred because I was sore from a football match (Australian Rules). But I had managed to pull off my first BS Smear. I was pretty happy with that.

P.S - Feel free to give advice or feedback :D

Today I got off to a very slow start. I couldn't hit the moves i could with ease for a while. I then started to school my whirls and my infinities. Things slowly started turning out as i wanted them to. I started to link some 3's and 4's together, so i was pretty happy with that.
I think i might go out soon for another shred.

Update: I hit pixie legover>butterfly>stepping op legover>dimwalk>toe>pixie osis

I want to try and eliminate that toe stall and make it a pdx mirage instead. I think i'll try doing that sometime this week.

Today I had a kick for about 15 minutes, just before dinner. I kicked in the spare room and the lighting wasnt the best, so i couldnt see the bag aswell. I schooled my flipside Parkwalk for a little bit and I also schooled my whirls. My flipside butterflies really need working on.

Today I didnt get to kick very long because i went outside to late and it got dark. My flipside pixie has been getting worse over the past few days. I dont know whats wrong, and my flipside clipper has also been getting worse.
When i went back inside i had a little barefoot shred. I hit flipside eggbeater and i footed smog barefoot. I hope i will hit smog soon.

I havent been able to kick as much as i wanted to this week, because i had assignments to do.
My weakside clipper is getting better and my whirls are also getting better. :D
Sometime last week i hit symposium pixie both sides on my first attempt.
Today i hit:
flipside ripwalk
8 side to side clippers
ducking toe stall>ducking toe stall

and i had my foot on whirl>whirl

My lavers are arriving tomorrow which i am pretty happy about. So hopefully i will improve my game alot.

Im starting to get use to my lavers. I have only done the shoe lace mod so far and im planning to cut the canvas and eyelet thing soon. I had a shred after dinner tonight and i thought that went quite well.
Highlights:
I hit drifter for the very first time both sides in one string
I hit 2 strongside ripwalks in a tiltless run
I started adding more 4's to my tiltless runs

Nice work, remember that when you can hit enough four add tricks, you shouldn't be playing tiltless anymore. Concentrate on your three add tricks so you can bail to them instead of two adders when you do four add tricks. Here's some practise I did and it helped me when I moved to guiltless:

1. Just do butterflies. When you do enough butterflies, ripwalks come easier. You can't make too much butterflies.
2. butterfly - butterfly - pdx mirage - butterfly - butterfly - osis REPEAT on other side, start again. (you can do this forever if you wish and can)
3. little harder. SS butterfly - osis - pdx mirage - SS butterfly - osis - pdx mirage. You can also repeat this forever.

These things have helped me, don't know what works for you :) Keep it up!

This morning i did the mod on my lavers where you cut the threads holding the eyelets down. This has affected my pixies, but I think i will get use to it.
Today i just schooled, i didnt hit anything new. I schooled my flipside stepping and my whirls.
Im planning to go out and shred again soon.

Today I shredded with Chris. I didnt hit anything new but i got some pretty long tiltless runs in. Chris wanted me to hit mobius so i tried and i came closer to it than i thought. It feels so cool.
My flipside stepping needs a lot of work on, so im schooling that.

What a day... It was the best day that i've had in a while. I got a bit of footage of myself today with my mum's digital camera.
I was hitting some nice combos and some things that Ian told me to try. Im getting use to my lavers more so my pixie sets are getting better. My legs got sore after i was doing some symposium stuff, but they dont hurt anymore.
Here todays highlights :
Pixie Legover > Butterfly > Clipper set DLO > Symposium Mirage
Symposium Mirage > Dimwalk
Sidewalk > Sidewalk
27 consecutive strong side clippers
10 side to side clippers
and my first 4>4>4 Dimwalk > Sidewalk > Ripwalk

Ian told me to try hit pixie out of symposium and i did it. I was also very impressed that i hit my first 4>4>4
These days keep getting better

Today I had another shred with Chris. It went quite well. I was just going for long tiltless runs but I keep doing a lot of toe stalls. Chris is playing well, he almost hit eggbeater. I thought today was going quite well until one of my big toes started to hurt.
Todays highlight is as followed:
My second 4>4>4 Parkwalk> Sidewalk > Ripwalk
