First up my name is Robert Elm, I'm 22, and I live in Hull, England.
I am the only shredder I know, which is kinda meh.
Oh, and comments or advice are more than welcome.

27th June 2004
Today I was working on bails, so making sure I could hit them after any other trick. This is my second day of working on this, and it's already improving my run length.
Biggest other things are trying to improve pixie consistency, and just straight up trying to learn stepping well. I can sketch through some stepping tricks on strongside but not consistently enough that I try them in runs very often.

Keep it up! About 4 years ago, I passed through London, England and then through the countryside and I couldnt find anyone who had even heard of footbag! You are an ambassador of footbag to your counrty and ytou dont even know it. Keep practicing hard and one day, England's footbag community will flourish like Japan.

Thanks for the kind words Jeremy, I know there are small scenes around brighton and possibly sheffield, but mostly based around circle kicking. I'll be off to university again this year or next, so I'll definitely be spreading the gospel of freestyle. :P

3rd July 2004
Same again, symp mirage is getting bailier(ha!), hit PS mirage a good few times, strings are definitely improving.
Flip spinning clipper is still like 1/10, even though I school it every session, hopefully one day it'll just click, and I'll get it.
I think I've decided to study to be a Physiotherapist, but it's too late to be admitted this year, so I have to find something to do for a year.
Hopefully being a physio will help my footbag along, and I won't damage my knees as much.

I still exist, w00t.

In further news, winter sucks, and I don't have the internet at work anymore.
Boo, hiss!
How do you people who live in upstairs flats shred in the winter?

Roll on summer please.

Had my second shred of the year so far today, my neighbours have been pissing me off, so I just decided to ignore that I live in an upstairs flat.

Hit some reasonable drills -

Ducking Clipper > rpt
Ducking butterfly > Ducking Clipper > rpt (both sides)
Clip > Clip > Osis > rpt

Hit DLO first try on the strongside, which was nice, only just sketched one on the weak side though.

I can still do - pixie stuff, symp mirages, pdx mirages, pdx illusions, spinning(sorta).
I can't do anymore - stepping anything, atomic anything, PS mirage.

I'm really unfit, so that's my first goal, being able to shred solidly for an hour.
After that, it's gonna be spinning drills I think.

Seeya.

Nice long shred today, hit stepping clipper on both sides, and atomic sets on both sides, first try in months!

Ducking Butter > Ducking butter.

Strong pixies are getting strong again, weak pixie sucks.(The Pixies are so good) I think I'm gonna have to put in some hard work on those.

Whirls on both sides are getting better, still not mid-string though.

Awful session today, I'm really tired for some reason. Still managed to hit some atomic tricks, and footed atom smasher on strong side for the first time(I think). Couldn't hit a string for shit though.
Ah well.

No posts for a while, but I have been kicking, honest guys.
I'm hitting sidewalk pretty consistently strongside now, not ripwalk though. Weakside just about sketches through, even after days of schooling. Whirls are getting better, I even attempted a symp toe whirl, I'm so scared of symp whirls it's unreal, came close though. I think once a week is enough for those.
I've been schooling pixies like hand>pixie>hand>op pixie>rpt which is definitely helping, same thing with stepping and atomic. My week atomic blows hard though.
Argh, just remembered I kicked myself in the shin in the most painful manner today trying pixie whirl. Hurt my toes and my shin. God I don't want to go back to being in pain every time I shred. I did hit pixie legover>rpt and pixie pickup>rpt in the same session.
I've been sort of speculatively tring double downs of various persuasions now and again too, not close yet, but I'm not going to force it, I think if I try double switch that'll get me close.
That's enough for today.
Good shredding everyone.

Footed ripwalk both sides today, it's weird, but it's actually the butterfly part that I fuck up, so I drilled butterflys after that. I can only hit 5. I managed to hit dyno both sides, though blender eluded me, and I footed paradox whirl both sides too, that's a big improvement for me.
I also drilled butterfly>pdx mirage>rpt to improve my endurance, it's definitely working I felt awesome today.

Good session on one of the hottest days of the year so far.
I hit Ripwalk both sides to hand catch, sidewalk, parkwalk, stepping far pickup, quantum sets to toe, atomsmasher strongside, legbeater both.
Found a drill that really helps my osis.
clip>osis>ss butterfly>repeat
I hit 4 osis back to back.
Ooh, haven't tried nuclear for a while, I should try that next session.
No whirls today, my knees felt a bit weak.

Hey max, hull is up north past leeds on the east coast. Quite a way from London I'm afraid.

In a session today I came super close to flail on both sides, I get the whole dex in, but miss the catch.
I also drilled legover>symp mirage>rpt
Nothing else exciting.

Tapdown strongside, muted tapdown weak, I just can't get the plant in.
Still, my first flip atomic trick.
Got my ducking mojo back again, hitting back to back ducking clips like butter, I think thats been the weakest part of my game for a while now.

I'm absolutely loving footbag right now, I'm progressing every day it's awesome. :P

Hit proper tapdown on the weakside today.
Schooled some ducking and spinning moves, which was fun, and managed some reasonable strings with spins and ducks in.
Smear>Legbeater.
Ooh PS mirage really sloppy too, both sides.

Footbag sucks.

I couldn't hit a fucking thing today, managed to eat like shit afterwards cos I was so pissed off, and now my insulin levels are all fucked and I wanna break stuff.

Aarggghl;evnfj.

So great session, yep.

Things to look forward to:

Job interview on Friday for a Support Analyst position, which if I get I'll keep for 6 months then quit like I do every time.

Not having any money for luxuries for the foreseeable future.

Losing at Magic to little kids on Saturday.

Getting worse at footbag.

EDIT:
Just venting.

Yay.

I kicked in the park today in the sunshine, it was great.
Managed to make some headway into my challenges, hit spinning butterfly and blur bsos, also hit a shitload of butter>ss butter>butter>ss butter etc. it felt amazing, it's definitely improving my run length.

Working on my tan yo.

Park shred is the best, I am going to try and get to the park every day this week.

I have hit butterfly>whirl>butterfly>drop from my challenge over and over again, it sucks, so I've gone back to just schooling flip whirls.
Had atomsmasher on my foot again, and hit ripwalk midstring both sides, which is nice.

Lots of long butterfly strings again, it feels weird drilling in the park, I'm sure people think I'm mental.

Shred session in the park today, very hot.

I got some claps today from passers by, which was cool.

I hit.

Butterfly>spinning clipper>butterfly>buncha guilts
Schooled butterfly>ripwalk>handcatch working towards ripwalk>ripwalk
So close to paradox whirls, nearly fell on one attempt though.
I've managed to figure out gyro a bit too, and hit gyro legover, pickup mirage, clipper and osis(i think, clip back spin then osis with the setting leg, so kinda peeking, but not sure). I was close to gyro butter too.

I can't hit illusion on the flip, it really hurts my strings and drills. I hit a long string of illusion > mirage on strong side and a bunch of mirage>drop on flip.

I'll be back in the park tomorrow, hopefully hit some illusions whirls and dlos.

I've taken up running, so I haven't shredded much, I just want to get my legs used to running for a couple of weeks before I shred hard again.

Hopefully the running will help my fitness level and endurance, and I'll be able to push my game harder, here's hoping.
