I occasionally take shortcuts with typing, but I don't really like how it looks. I misspell words alot though, due to trying to type fast, and the fact that my fingers are big.

Maybe he's saying the use of "lol" makes him cringe.

I hate abbreviations, and I hate it when people spend so little time writing their post that half the words are spelled wrong and in the wrong order.

Ex: I hate aabreviattions and I hate when ppll spen do littlr time riting theree post tat haf he wordss ar spelles wwoeng an in da ron ordet.

I truly hate it when people post things that makes them look like a bafoon just from their spelling, punctuation and grammar. It's not hard to know how to use proper english, considering all of us have been using it and been taught it since the early stages/grades of our life.

If you are going to put thought into a post, also consider how you present it.

I've been seeing some guy's posts that are filled with commas and "..." 's (I forget what the "..." thing is called... :? ). It's pretty confusing to read.

I don't think "..."'s are confusing at all if used sensibly.

Marc, just translate them to periods in your head.

Correct, if used sensibly. Same with every other type of punctuation. But, once commas and periods get thrown around in places where they don't belong, it gets confusing.

I have to ask though, where do all these periods and commas come from ? I'm not trying to insult you, but I'm trying to figure out why you put them where they are. It makes no sense to me. :?

I remeber reading that article awhile ago. Thought it was funny.
