are you a both sided wannabe??
are you a both sided wannabe??
i like to do everything both sides. i hit blur > toe whirl [repeat] yesterday. and was happy! do you care about skooling flipside? do you think its important?
Im glad you asked.
I think I am paranoid/ a perfectionist When it comes to "flipside". Whenever I do a string of goodside moves (ESPECIALLY when im training), I feel really akward only using my good side.
I can do some sets (stepping atomic) better on my flipside and like pixie and nuclear better good side. Although I think this is just because with those sets Im actually doing the dex with my good leg.

Like every man of sense and good feeling, I abominate work

I just hit this recently. The key to it is to not panic. You have plenty of time to set the bag and get both legs over. You need to concentrate on the timing of your hop to get both legs over and you also need to think about keeping your legs both close to one another and close to the bag. Set about waist high, don't panic, and get both legs over together and smoothly. At least these things helped me.
Sorry for the brief thread drift. I too have to hit things on my flipside. The thing that makes me the most angry is that I am side dominant. I have no problem hitting things from my either toe set. I do have a lot of problems hitting stuff set from a right clipper (I am right footed). This drives me nuts!

Being both-sided is everything.
There is no rule in footbag that is more important. You may even use your hands, if you want, but be able to do it on both sides!
If you can hit a move only on one side, you haven't learned the trick yet, only 50% of it.
Don't try any big moves as long as your are not equally good on both sides when doing basics (1add-, 2add-, easy 3add-moves).
Amen.
