I agree with Max, Japan would be too expensive. Even, though, it would be really cool. Maybe, worlds should be in a place where there was a weak shred scene. Because, if worlds was in Alaska, hypothetically, it would be cover by the news and get a lot more people exposed and interseted in the sport. Thus, maybe making a thriving shred secen. Just my two cents.

The IFPA Worlds Oversight Committee decides the location and the organization taking care of the event for each year. Basically, you fill an application and send it to the committee (http://www.footbag.org/groups/list/4). If they evaluate your bid the best, you'll get to organize Worlds. I think, that's how the process went when Helsinki got Worlds for 2005.Brett wrote:It looks like Worlds 2006 will be in North America.
Who decides where the Worlds takes place?
And when people talk about how great the shred scene is in each city, you must remember that freestyle is just 50% of Worlds. I've never been to Montreal, but based on what I heard, it's "the footbag net capital of the World". That's what I like.
See you all in Montreal,

Even though I most likely wouldn't be able to make it, I'd love to see it happen in Japan because Japan seems to have awesome exposure when it comes to footbag.
I'd really like to see Worlds head back to Colorado one more time before it gets too out of control. Hmmm, I'm moving back to Colorado next month...maybe I'll take a look at that Application
