Due to the huge success of last year`s Tokyo Shredder Gathering (
http://modified.ca/footbag/viewtopic.php?t=3258 ), we are proud to announce
Tokyo Shredder gathering II (TSG2).

When: July 3rd, 1:00 pm-8:30 pm.
Where: Shinjuku Sports Center, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.

Events: Shred 30, Sick Combo, informal shred.
Fee: Free

While there will be a Shred 30 and a Sick Combo contest, the main focus of this event will be informal shred. We just wanted to organize a big jam so shredders from all over Japan could come and play with each other.

Rough schedule:

13:00- Doors open. Informal shredding.
14:30- Sick combo (prelims)
15:30- Shred 30
16:00- Big 3 demo by Ken Somolinos
16:10- Sick Combo (finals)
16:30- informal shredding
20:30- stretch down, pack up, clean up.

This event, like last year`s TSG, will be held in a huge gym with non-slippery floors, which is well ventilated and has high ceilings (see pictures from last year). Also similar to last year, TSG2 promises to bethe perfect place to meet new shredders, make new friends, and learn new tricks. Everybody is welcome and beginners are especially encouraged to come. And even better than last year`s TSG, TSG2 is on a Saturday, so be ready to party after the event!

I wish I could be there, I'd love to go to Tokyo and shred. Unfortunately, I live in Canada and there's no way I could afford to go. Anyways, good luck with the event, be sure to post vids when it's all over.

Shred 30 results have been calculated, but I don`t think I`m supposed to reveal them yet.

2nd place through 6th place all had shred scores above 100, though its possible that 2 add tricks were counted as unique?

1st place: Nakaike `OBT` Ryota (Tokyo area, Team Twist) Legbeater-PS whirl

2nd place: Ogawa `Zo` Kenzo (Osaka) Ripwalk-pdx eggbeater
3rd place (tie): Morishige `Tencho (chef)` Kimihiro (Tokyo/Team Twist) Spinning butterfly-Spinning Xbody rake.
3rd place (tie): Oishi Keita (tokyo) Scrambled eggbeater-atom smasher

Shred 30 (videos included!)

1st place: Ken `CF` Somolinos (Kitakami, Iwate)
2nd Place: Adam Catt (Osaka)
3rd place: Ogawa Kenzo (Osaka)
4th place: Nakaike Ryota (Twist/Tokyo)
5th place: Tomohiro Yusuke (Twist/Tokyo)

Phat combo was judged by myself and the event organizers, Eisuke Kimuro and Tomohiro Yusuke. It was very hard to judge because everybody stepped up!
