MODIFIED CANDYSTAND BOWLING TOURNAMENT - OFFICIAL THREAD!

Alright folks, here's the official tournament thread.

David dropped out because the game didn't work on his computer, so we are down to these 9 participants:

Posi-Cole
TWEAK
FreeStylist

lightning bolt

I have randomly (drawn by hat) divided the group into two pools, Pool A and Pool B. The groupings are shown below:

Pool A

Johnny
mosher
Hacky Richard
lightning bolt
Posi-Cole

Pool B

TWEAK
FreeStylist
Space Monkey
SmellmyFinger
Whatsfootbag?

Now, how it works is that everybody must play everybody else in their Pool twice, making a total of 8 games. The pin totals for each game must be recorded and posted in this thread, and I will update the pool standings as games come in.

The first three people from each group will advance to the next round of competiton.

The playoff brackets look like this:

1st place in pool A - BYE

2nd place in Pool A
3rd place in Pool B

2nd place in Pool B
3rd place in Pool A

1st place in pool B - BYE

Each of these matchups is a best of 3 series, and the winner after only 2 contestants remain will be named the Modified Candystand Champion.

What determines best record goes in the following order:

1) Win/Loss Record
2) Total Pin Count
3) Pin differencial in play against that person

That should be sufficient to avoid any awkward ties.

So with that all said, let's get started. Post results in this thread, and I will make a standings section as results come in.

Also, if you would like to fill the last spot in this tournament, feel free to reply in this thread. We will continue without that person for now. If we don't get someone, I'll merely ask one of my friends to join the tournament.

One final note, please don't simply quit a game because you are losing. It's just internet bowling folks - not really worth cheating. Any instances of people repeatedly bailing on games or quitting when losing will be dealt with as they arise (But hopefully they don't)

As for lightningbolt, that's too bad.

This may not end up getting completed until after Worlds though, so you may end up getting to participate after all.

Do you mean Pool A?

You are in Pool B so you have to play everyone else in pool B twice, and you play them whenever you happen to see them online and you both have time for a game.

You will only play someone in pool A in the second round of the competition.
