Portland Oregon - rieferman vist

I'm celebrating my grad school graduation by visiting Oregon (never been there, always wanted to go) from Sept 10th thru Sept 17th. We plan on spending time specifically in Portland on Sept 11th (maybe the morning of the 12th as well). I would be interested in a 2 hour session in Portland if there are players interested in meeting up. Please let me know.

I think Red may be planning to have the big Portland jam around that time of the year. It would be cool if it would be that weekend. If so, I'm pretty sure I would fly up to kick as well.

If my goddamn injury is over with, then I will be there for sure. Red is not that hard to convince to have a shred session. Nate would probably be in for that as well.

Awesome! Actually, our week long trip will take us through Eugene as well, so maybe that would be easier. I'll post exact dates and times for Eugene and Portland soon - if we can get together that would be great

I'd be up for it. Maybe I'll be somewhat back into it by then. This time last year I would have said I could get 5-10 people to come with from Salem, but now it'd be 1, 2 pushing it, 3 would be incredible.

yea if something happens the seattle crew will probably try to be there, i don't want to speak for anybody other than myself though. red and noah paid us a visit for a festival we had a while ago so it's our turn to visit them

Yea i'll be thur. Probably dont know me but shoot son i'll be there. Crazy stuff i havnt read this in like 2 weeks. Crappy laptop @ my dads. oh well it's good to be back. To bad I wont be back for long considering i leave tomorrow...... to seattle..... THEN TO WORLDS... it's gunna be hella...

Hey all.. The exact date/time that I can meet up if y'all are still interested is 09/11/2004 (a Saturday) from about 10 a.m. until noon or possibly 1 p.m.

That morning, I will be waking up in Portland (Four Points Sheraton hotel) and am interested in playing anywhere nearby that is considered a fun spot to shred.

PM me for cell number or other details as needed.

You've heard this excuse before, but i have no money. Well, i do have money, but not enough. Plus, i'm to help my parents with some house stuff over my summer/fall term break.

Shame...look out though, in a couple years, i'll most likely be attending everything i can

Sure did... I should be able to make the portland thing. Just coming off my injury and trying to shred again. I am a little disappointed at how much my legs hurt when I play, so I have to take it slow for a while... If you've seen me shred you know I HATE taking it slow. No more mad shuffle from me for a little while... oh well

Sept 11th would be perfect for me.. I don't know the landmarks, but if there's one near the Sheraton in downtown Portland, can we meet there at about 10 a.m. to shred for a few hours?

just started playing light about a week ago since im coming off my fractured left foot. but this little gathering sound like the perfect reason to get up there and get back into my game. ill talk to red later today and see what he knows about this and find out whats going down for sure. i have not had the pleasure of shreddin with anyone else but red and the seattle guys. looking foward to this. can anyone e-mail me or post again to tell me whats up so far. is this just on the 11th or are we turning this into a 2 day thing?

So I have not heard back from Red yet. I e-mailed him a while back, but so far the plan is to be in portland and ready to shred at 10am on september 11. I am not sure of great locations to shred in portland, because I am from Eugene, but I was hoping that the portland crew could work that out.

Lee: Is red going to be there that day? Nate and I were hoping to crash at his place Saturday night if it is cool. I haven't kicked with red since I was injured and trying to play anyway. ( I had a severe tissue strain in my upper calf/knee area that lasted 2 1/2 months )

Bob: I am not sure where we are going to kick, but hopefully Lee or Red can provide some insight. Nate and I are both going to be there for sure. I am mostly back on top of my game now, so I can't wait to have a big shred session. Even if it is at 10 in the morning

hey james. i left a message on ur cell. i talked to red and he said that you guys know more about whats going on then he does. call him to see if you and nate can crash at his place. his cell is 541-380-4395. im currently in medford so im coming up myself for this little gathering. i dont know how to get a hold of riefer to see what he knows. anyone call me if u can.

im going to see if i can crash at reds for that night also. i dont know wheree the hotel is in correlation to say psu but thats whrere we usually kick. if its nice then red will know some sweet spots for outside. the waterfalls in the foufkast preview (jims intro) would be sick. see you all soon.
