Who's in yo riiiiiiiiide?

Post by alex »

Alright this is for all those attending worlds. Any way you are getting to worlds, be it an airplane, a car, a boat, a shoe, on horseback, on your mother's back, whatever! Post who you are going with!

My Line up Goes as follows:

This guy is incredible, I mean woah, once you meet him you will realize that he is the coolest guy out there! But don't take my word for it, I have never even met him before :D But thats not stopping me from giving this fellow Footbag fanatic a space in the riiiide. From the farthest point in this country from where I live, lets hear it for Mike Hansen!! *crowd goes wild!!

Our next car member hails from B-Town USA, a tremendous 2 hour drive from Long Island. Boys and girls, give it up for the guy who just convinced his parents to let him attend worlds 2 weeks ago!! It is none other then the dancing diva, David Clavens!!

Plus, myself and James Geraci :D

Hey alex,

Make sure James packs his super duper tie dye tshirt, I'm still waiting for an opportunity to see a tie dye superfly and now would be the best chance to get that to happen.

I'm travelling on 3 separate planes to get to montreal, 15 hrs of flying and who knows how many hours existing in airport environments. I wonder if there will be any footbaggers getting on my flight from LAX into Montreal; Air Canada, Flight# 798, Friday 23rd July, departing 12:30pm

1 Day to go

Definately going to be good times Cole. Rob's actually driving down from Cape Breton to the Halifax area just to get us, which is very very cool of him :D.

Daryl has 'GENZU' license plates. Or he did in Colorado. I don't know if they've changed since the Idaho move.

I`m going with Team Japan! 8)

Actually, this is a good occasion to introduce them to you, so you can spot them and talk to them more easily in Montreal.
Let me introduce them to you...

Masaaki Shigeoka.
aka: Shige, or Masa

He was at worlds in SF, and in Prague, so some of you might recognize him. He`s big, well built, and has a pseudo mohawk, which is orange. He`s also the reigning Japanese champion. He hits phoenix swirl on the Big One Jam page http://www.footstyle.net/extra/bigone_en.php

Member of the footbag performance team `Team Twist.` More in-depth profile at: http://www.footstyle.net/twist/profile.html

Eisuke Kimuro
aka: Kim, Kim Ghidora

His first time at worlds (first time out of Japan!). He hits the Johnny Quest on Big One Jam. He co-organized the Tokyo Shredder Gathering, and TSG2 as well. Currently ranked 3rd in Japan. More in-depth profile at: http://www.footstyle.net/twist/profile.html

Yusuke Tomohiro

aka: USK

Co-organizer of TSG and TSG2. Had the best routine at Japanese Champs last year, but it was in prelims. Had he done it in finals, he would have easily won. Placed 4th or 5th in Shred 30 at TSG2. You can see his shred30 in the TSG2 thread, and you can see his double gyro mirage (no plant!) on the big one page. Also a team twist member, so profile at: http://www.footstyle.net/twist/profile.html

Kussy (koo-shee)
The only shredita able to make it this year. She`ll be the really pale Japanese girl. Good collection of tiltless moves. She`s single too, so I think she`s organizing a knifefighting tournament for you all to fight over her.

Taishi Ishida

The youngest member of the team (19?), and the shortest. Very fast legs, kinda reminiscent of Chris Pinkus. I think this is some video of his: http://www36.tok2.com/home2/footbagmani ... .12(2).wmv
I may be wrong though.

Keita Oishii

Keita tied for 3rd place in Phat combo at TSG2. His specialty are toe tricks. Good atomics and fairies.

Takatsugu Mihara
aka: Henmo

Possibly the best shredder in Japan. Won the sick trick at last year`s Japanese Champs by hitting food processor and gybas. The only player to make it from the Kansai (Osaka/Kyoto) area. The only Japanese player entering in Open events at worlds. He also makes the best footbags in Japan, which he auctions online since he is too busy with school to stitch more. Definitely will turn some heads.

Here`s a clip of him hitting spinning pdx whirl.

Shit, I think I`m leaving somebody out... but yeah, this is a good start.
All the Japanese players are super cool, so be extra nice and for the love of God, speak slowly and clearly damn it!

I totally just realised that Brad's rank is the same as mine!

Then you also should've realized that it's not something to post in this thread?
