ANy format, I just want it.

Post by MrMeebles »

Maybe I should be asking Dexter or Honza this directly but for those of us able to play PAL format DVDs is there a chance of getting a copy of the orriginal? I've seen many PAL - NTSC conversions, and you always take a big quality hit.

Dexter didn´t reply you because we are now in Copenhagen, but still I don´t know what could be wrong because I tried every DVD we made and everyone worked.

But did you try them on an NTSC DVD player?
I ordered another video from Monsterhack with my Champion's League, too. I hope it's worth the wait.

Did you watch them all the way through? The one I have
works okay for the first 20 minutes, then freezes.

Also, I checked and the disc is not clear-top.

My local expert was is able to watch the full DVD on his
computer, but as of yet has not managed to crack
the files so that the disc can be copied... He's
got a few last ditch options  , so not all hope is lost
yet, it's just proving to be very challenging...

UGH!

By the way, I will have DVD PAL and DVD NTSC available.
The company I am working with seems to really be on
top of DVD technology, so I'm expecting the finished
product to have minimal reading issues... I'm finding this
whole DVD thing far more troublesome than I first
expected.

Peace.

DELAY (the bad kind)...

Post by Genzu »

Hello Everyone,

My local expert was unable to crack The Champion's
League mystery. So it's looking like there will be
no TCL until AFTER worlds.

How long after worlds depends on how long it
takes me to get a working copy for myself.
I'm not sure where Dexter and Honza are, or
what their schedule is up until worlds.

I will simply keep the list informed when I get some
new info.

Peace.

WOAH!!

Plain ridiculous. Vasek hits stuff like BLEEEEEEEEP
in a row and more unbelievable stuff which I'm not going to tell because
I don't want to spoil it.

The part with the controller was soo funny!

Thanks Honza+Dexter for the awesome video!

MODERATOR'S NOTE: I WASN'T SURE WHETHER TO LEAVE THIS OR NOT, YOU CAN PM BJOERN, THOUGH, IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT WAS HIT IN CHAMPION'S LEAGUE :P

total censorship is on!!

Ok, so I won't tell you that Vasek hits ************************** and *************************.

Sorry for you North American folks for having to wait for so long - at least
you have worlds on your continent, so quit whining already.

As long as you have a multi region dvd player then pal and ntsc formats should work fine. I don't think multi region dvd players are much more expensive then the regular ones.

FINALLY!!!

Post by Genzu »

Hello Fellow Shredders!

I am pleased to announce that I have received
a working copy of The Champion's League at
Worlds, thanks to my good friends at Naranja
in Japan, Masa and Jun). The copies are being
made *this weekend* and will be shipped on
MONDAY, August 16th.

I have seen this video several times through
now since receiving my new copies, and
I can say without hesitation that the level
of play is unparalleled by any video I’ve seen
to date: Truly phenomenal!!! There are so
many mind blowing combos throughout the
video that it’s difficult to describe with words.

The Seven Add Trick section and in particular
the Drills section are seriously ridiculous.
One combo starts off Furious set Same Butterfly,
Jani Walker, repeat…

This video is 80 minutes long and includes the
following sections:

Teaser
Intro
Todexon ’02
Dictators
San Francisco ’02
7 Add Tricks
Todexon ’03
Drills
Todexon ’04
Outro

TCL is available in DVD only (in NTSC or PAL
Format). The PAL versions are copies that are
directly from Honza & Dexter. I was able to play
one of the PAL DVD's in my player at home, but
there were a significant (40+) number of small
glitches (very frustrating to watch) – I believe
this is due to the fact that I have an older DVD
player. The NTSC copies are being professionally
duplicated with high quality DVD's, cases, etc.
Nevertheless, if you have an older DVD player,
there is still a chance that you may have problems
with this DVD.

Note: PAL is the standard European format,
whereas NTSC is the standard format in the
US and Canada.

A good percentage of the sales from this video
go directly to help support the Czech Footbag
Association. Additionally, 2% of any sales
made on http://www.freedomfootbags.com
go toward supporting the IFPA, which is
the organization that makes Worlds happen.
Lastly, you can also earn Freedom Bucks
when you buy TCL which are good towards
future purchases.

Peace.

!!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!!!!!

I preordered from Monsterhack as soon as preorders opened (a month ago?) but I borrowed Andrew's copy that he picked up at Worlds (for $10can!!!!) It's got some SICK shred. I'm still watching the first time through but i had to share some things because they are so unbelievable!!! Here are some highlights from the drills section:

-blurriest > blurrier [repeat]
-flurry > pixie dod [repeat]
-grifter > whirling swirl [repeat]
-janiwalker > stepping whirl > scorpions tail [REPEAT!!!!]
-spinning butterfly swirl > infinity swirl [repeat]
-janiwalker > symp whirl [repeat] (and barfly > scorpions tail [repeat] same run)
-flurry > smoke [repeat]
-janiwalker > flurry > pixie whirl [repeat] > tomahawk > tomahawk
-symp whirling swirl > mullet [repeat]
-blurry drifter > tombstone [repeat]
-whirlwind > mullet [repeat]
-smog > pixie same dlo [repeat]
-janiwalker > "sunilwalker" [repeat]

VASEK = 6 JANIWALKERS?????

LON = 11 PDX TORQUES??????

The music is all really really great in this video!!
