I don't like it. Its always good to do something new to your run. Or even if you say throw 10 or more new tricks in there. Then thats alright.

Simply making it into the Finals at Worlds is a noteworthy accomplishment. The majority of competitors at Worlds will not manage that feat, though they would like to.

I say, if you want to make it into The Big Show, you might as well put your best foot foward and show the judges and the audience the best performance that you've got. There is no point in saving your best routine for finals if you don't make it out of the semi-finals. And if you were to use your best routine in semi-finals, why would you want to use your second-best routine for The Big Show?

Okay, so its pretty cool, and impressive, and humbling, when some top competitors have different performances planned and practiced for each round of competition. And perhaps this should count for something with the judges (though probably it shouldn't, since the judges should only consider what a competitor is doing NOW, not what they did yesterday or what they might do tomorrow. Those things are irrelevant to scoring the outcome of the competition taking place in the present time.) None-the-less, just because some have the ability to perform different acts well does not mean that all competitors need a new performance for each round. If it was a good performance yesterday, then its still a good performance today, and maybe even better (I've never performed a routine perfectly, and would always like a chance to do it again and do it a little better).

Agreed.

I personally try to make two routines for worlds, one to make the first cut and second to give a good show in semi-finals. I think I could have a small chance to get to the finals if I do as well as I did in euros, but still I'm in a category what Jonathan said, I have to give my best shot in semi-finals and just hope that it's enough.

Keep in mind that most of the competitors don't have even one good routine prepared, they are just playing with some song they like trying to remember flyers and unusuals while shredding. IMHO, do one good routine rather than two bad shred routines :>
