Euro 04 - comp footage

Post by Jeremy »

Routines:
1. Vaclav Klouda
2. Jan Weber
3. Jere Linnanen

Sick three

Videos in mp4 format - (for quicktime) - routines are around 16 mb and sick 3 is 6.7mb (top three)

All credit goes to Sakarias Liukko from Finland (for hosting and posting the vids - I just saw them at the footbag.org forum...)

Vasek's combos in the sick 3 are awesome. I don't think anyone can criticise his variety these days... :D

WOW.

Surfing ss Smp Mirage on it's own is one of the styliest, hugest tricks I can conceive... And he hit it in a sick three. Vasek is such an inspiration. The Sick 3 aside, those were some of the best three routines I've seen. I really enjoyed Vasek's. You know, it's funny how Vasek is hands down of the best players there is, and it seems every time we here of something new from him... He's better.

Uhm, that wasn't a surfing set, it was a phasing ss symp mirage (the swirl wasn't symposium).

The sick 3's was really cool, Vasek's was crazy as usuall, and I really liked Honza's second combo.

Still downloading the routines.

Are you sure? If you slow it down, it looks like the swirl is completed without a plant. I don't know if that's negated for some reason, but it looks like it just might be symposium. *takes another look* Yeah, the swirl was completed without a plant, but it looks like that probably happened due to the motion of the set. Weird. I think you're right, though. Phasing, not surfing. He could have VERY easily made that a surfing set, though, I would imagine. There may have only been a mirage to complete the move instead of a symposium mirage, but all it would be a matter of would be to land on the other foot and the set would be surfing.

I just checked and it's not symposium - I guess you could call it symple - although that's the only way that move could be hit. You have to plant a symposium foot after the dex.

I wish I was at worlds...

Sick stuff, thanks for hosting it. I am impressed with how Vasek keeps pushing himself now that he's miles ahead of us all. I'm also really impressed with Jere, who I first saw compete when he was 14 and is now a lot better than me. Finally, and I hate to be the one to say it, but I am kind of dissapointed with how one sided Vasek's routine was. All but one of the 5's and most of the 4's and spinning were to his right side. He obviously knows so many hard moves cold on his off side I wish he'd use them. It's really impressive to see a bunch of hard moves in competition, it's that much more impressive to see someone doing them on both sides. Anyway, just my personal opinion.

Thanks for putting all those vids up! Sadly, the picture of the videos
becomes blurry quite often, you should make sure to have
manual focus set when filming under bad light conditions. But
otherwise - Euros Footage!!

HOLY COW...That sick 3 footage was great!

Yea, no more "whirl move > whirl move > whirl move" for vasek, i love the variety.

Yes, all final rutines are really cool.

I think that Honza Weber had a little bad luck, because his semifinal rutine was dropless and in final was some bad luck drops- for example Double leg over, Symposium mirage. But his show is perfect. AND HONZA WON SHRED 30 SECONDS. Wow.....

If I saw Jere Linnanen´s rutine. He is too big shredder.

And Vasek is Vasek- perfect tricks, perfect show.
