So, my name is Anssi Sundberg, I'm 16 years old boy from Finland, Turku. Been kicking for 3 years and freestyling 13 months.

I'd say that my strongnesses are variety of tricks and flipside. I've got all my tricks with both sides and I'm proud of that.

My first 5 was Paradox Torque, first (and only) 3 dex was Dimmiest (Pixie Paradon)

Some goals I want to achieve:
- stronger Atomic and Stepping sets
- Xanabox drill (Reaper > Double Switch Over > Paradon > [rpt])
- 5 > 5
- any 6 add trick

I´m Antti Virolainen, 17 years old and from Finland. I have been freestyling around 2 months now. Kicking in circles maybe couple of years.

I cant talk about my strongnesses because I´m still searching them. :)
..Weakness is my flipside, I think.

Near goals are to get more 3s like eggbeater, DLO and osis(which are all near to succes :) ) . So far got only symp mirage and butterfly. And of course start playing good tiltless.

I don't know where Xanabox got it's name, I just saw it at a drill list in one topic here on Modified. When I saw it I was instantly like "I gotta hit that someday!!!" Yeah, it's crazy hard and I'm not even close yet. I haven't even hit Reaper , but close to it.

27.7.04

I had a little shred today, about 45 minutes. Finally got that osis with my strongside. Also got symp mirage from flipside. :)

Just have to wait for my lavers little bit more, and then try those DLO and eggbeater, maybe even pixie legover.

Anyway, got nice session even in bad weather.

I think I had a very similliar session as yours, Virppa. I played for something like 1,5 hours today, achieving some strength on those osis (both sides), pixies and some dexes.

Good luck footbagging, finlanders :).

7.7.

We had a session "yesterday" (it's 01:05 at the moment) with me and Antti but Felix was also there for a while.

I got three new tricks: Sidewalk (wonder why I hadn't even tried it before) Assasin and Reaper - all of course with both sides. And also couple of new Torque tricks dropped from foot wich I'll maybe bust soon.
My flipsides Reaper is weak, but still now I'm gonna head for the Xanabox drill. Maybe in couple of weeks I'll get it...
[2 months later(!) EDIT:]What the F* I've been talking here... Still no Xanabox and can't say that I'm close to it. It's such a god damn hard drill... lots speed and accuracy is needed for it. But I'll tame it! Just wait! [/EDIT]

Antti got his Lavers today. He didn't got any new tricks but he got DATW and clipper set DLO on his foot. And he got a new consecuotives kicks record: 101 wich is 34 better than his last one.

7.7 (again)

Today we had again a session with Antti. This time only two and half hours but it was worth of it.

Antti got with both sides Paradox Mirage and Far Legover.
Also combos like Mirage > Legover > Mirage
and ATW > Clipper > Clip set Mirage

I hit my first 5>5 today so one of my goals are achieved now. It was Phoenix > Paradox Torque and I got it with both sides. I also got two new tricks: Spinning Ducking Butterfly and Spinning Whirl (both with both sides ofcourse)

9.8.

So... Today we had a very HOT session (sounds weird somehow... :? but it's 30 degrees Celcius and no clouds - try to shred in that weather!!!) with Antti and Juha (a newbie from a 'city' called Lieto next to Turku).

Juha has been playing seriously for one month now. He bought Lavers from Felix instantly when he started. He got his first four, Dimwalk, today. He has not registered on this forum (and will not be, I think - at least for a while) but we'll write about his progress - when he dares to drag himself those 17 kilometers to shred with us - wanted he that or not  .

I got couple of new (lame) tricks: Paradox Drifter and Paradox DLO. But mainly I just drilled my Paradox Torques, DSO's, Reapers and my "flipsides" out-in double dexes.

Antti didn't get any new tricks, but was again very near for Ripwalk and DATW - I think he'll be hitting those before the end of this week.

After playing me and Juha went to a public openair swimming pool for a bit some more shred and swimming.
Felix showed up there and played a bit. He was busting clean Pixie Barrages like nothing with both sides (I don't remember if he had Lavers or not). He also had Pixie Symposium DLO on his foot (without shoes). Then - surprise, surprise - he broke his ankle again (trying to beat his personal drifter record) like nearly every time we play :?. But this time pretty badly I think...

11.8.

We had the biggest session in half year here in Turku today!!! 4 players - huge!!! Me, Felix, Antti and Juha.

Felix tried half accidently his flipsides barraging set (his strong sides (right foot) ankle is still pretty annihilated) and I remembered the topic about furious sets that Jeremy Mirken started here on Modified.ca. I asked from Felix if he had read it. He hadn't, but encouraged me to try - just for fun.

Well, I tried a couple of times and Felix gave some advices. Then I just busted the set so that I could hit something out of it.
"Goddam, go for Janiwalker!!"
Well I tried maybe ten times and footed Janiwalker and after 10 minutes I hit it with strong side. That was cool feeling.
After about 30 minutes of trying furious set I had footed both sides Janiwalkers more than 10 times each and got it from strong side two times.
After about 45 minutes of trying furious sets I got Janiwalker from flipside and once more with strong side.
So, two new (unique) tricks for me today: Janiwalker with both sides, once fron flip and three times from strong.

We also filmed a bit today. I hit one of my strong sides Janiwalker for camera. But nobody got any good strings on tape.

Felix skooled also his flipsides furious set and hit Janiwalker out of it a couple of times wich is rare for him. He also hit Symposium Flurry :!: with his flipside!!! And luckily for the camera!!!
He wasn't busting hard strings due to his ankle, just skooling some flipsides stuff. But he came close to some other super sick tricks wich I bet he'll be busting soon.

Juha is starting to get some decent kickless strings with some 2's and 3's. He got one new trick: Clipper set Symposium Mirage

Antti was close to Smear and he footed Dimwalk. He also got Clipper set Symposium Mirage as a new trick.

Everyone was happy for todays session. (but I don't think I can really play tomorrow - my legs are killing me due to skooling barraging)

Thanks Byrin!

12.8.

Today we had a session with me, Felix and Antti.

The beginning looked pretty lazy for me and Felix - our legs were a bit sore from yesterdays Furious skooling - until Felix busted Beta Symposium Fog (Stepping PS DLO) with second or third try...

Antti and I kept low profile until Felix left (?).
Felix gave me some criticism about my hippy Atomic -sets and we compared our support legs positions in normal Infinities... boring..!

Then, after two hours, Felix left and after that suddenly Antti got a spark from something and was so in FLAMES!!! 8O

Antti hit all in about half an hour for the first time:
Smear (his first two dex trick!!),
DATW (in-out) (his first double dex),
Dimwalk (his first 4-add) and
toe set DLO!!!

He was quite on fire I must say. :?

I treid flip's Janiwalker a couple of times and got it after 8 tries - that was my furious sets skooling for this day. I got inspiration about Felix's Atomic -set lesson and hit:
AtomSmasher > AtomSmasher
I think that my Atomic and Stepping sets are coming stronger... Rubbermans drill is not very far...

I think that's all about todays session. Tomorrow Juha is also coming to play, so we'll be having again 4 local shredders at the same time again at our session!!!
Tomorrow we should also try to do something for Turku's freestyle club, but the paper work sounds so scary and everyone are lazy... We already "made a promise" that tomorrow we'll do it, but... you'll see...

Good luck with the paper work. We did it like 18 months ago, and its not really that hard. You just have to focus to it, and not shred at the same time. Sano Felixille, et lopettaa shredaamisen ja alkaa pelaamaan miesten footbagia. ;)

Matti: se Fellu kyllä lukee tätä foorumia, nottei mun tartte sanoa

Sooo... we still haven't get any paper work done for the club, but at least we HAVE the papers now...

16.8.

Today we had quite boring session with me, Antti and Felix. The weather was a bit cold and it was windy.

Everybody was tired and had somekind of injuries. I still have shin spilts and pain in hips and Felix's ankle is still a bit sore.

Nobody hit good strings - Felix got a couple of good ones with lot of 5's - Still some single tricks were busted.

Felix got Stepping ss Whirl mid string with flipside wich is rare for him. He also hit Barraging ss Legover > Dimmier (Pixie DOD) with first try and few minutes after Barraging ss Legover > Dimmier > (flipside) Superfly on foot.

I got some new tricks, but my strings sucked badly. All with both sides: Stepping ss Mirage (wow...), FairyDown, Paradox Tap (tried Nuclear set first time today), Matador (strongside with first try ever) and Sumo.
Felix was calling me an asshole for the rest of the day.

Antti got Pixie Legover for the first time and

Felix busted Arch Nemesis (Barraging Down Double Down) for the second try. That was pretty siiick... 8)
