Ok, does anyone agree with me that one single trick should not be able to to get both a paradox add and an x-dex add? Or do I stand alone? I mean, x-dex is paradox in it's own way, right? Bah..
Werd, I'm not really concerned about it. I just wanted to make a topic.
I apologize if this was brought up before, I didn't do a search.

There was some discussion a while back, when X-dex was first conceived, about symposium moves negating the x-dex. The move that was specifically discussed was Back Side Symposium Toe Blur because at the time that was the main move that was being hit that could have been an issue. At the time everyone who hit it was hitting it downtime which is what some people felt cheapened the x-dex because a Toe Blur was considered much harder than a BSS Toe Blur. Certainly it can be said that a Pdx Blur is harder than a Voodoo. So these downtime symposium moves are and were getting 1 more add than there obviously more difficult non-symposium counterparts.
However, now a lot of people who hit it do the first dex as an uptime Quantum set, thus negating the arguments that were made against BSS Toe Blur.
Still there are moves out there like Voodoo and Blurry Voodoo and now Pete has hit Blurry Ducking Voodoo (ssiiiicckkknneeesssssss). They do get the x-dex even without having a 'crispy' set.
Somewhere along the way a bunch of people decided that it didn't really matter because Adds only count components and not difficulty anyway.
So to answer the question of this thread; Yes Paradox and X-dex should get awarded certain moves because the components are there even if the difficulty isn't.
