Richie,

Just bought a pair of 520s... they should be here in a few days..

Can you list the mods that you did to make your shoes rock? I'm sure you put a shoe-goo clipper rail on it and opened up the toe box... but are there any other mods that you have put into practice with the shoe that seem to work well?

Thanks (it definitely helps :D )

First thing is to remove the thick padding on the tongue and the inside. I shaved the rails on the toe box to make them shorter and smaller. I prefer to have my toe box the size of a mini . Any larger and there is too much box to have a consistent spot for stalls. I also added an extra insole for a more cushy feel. I cut a diamond piece out right in the spot of my clipper to eliminate the bunching from the lacing style I use. That is about it. Once I did these things, the shoe came alive and is ready for shred.Hope this helps,Richie

i had a dream last night that i was kicking in either ct 250's or 520's :?: . It was pretty awesome, all the toe stalls i did stuck to my foot, which was surprising from a pair of runners. I was doing tricks and stuff while i was running aswell :?: :? ... weird

My friend Jason plays inthe Adidas A3 and has played in the clima cools as well. My new 520s and lighter than his A3s. The 520s have the over all look of the ct300 but have the performance of a running shoe. Whatever you can shred your best with is the shoe for you. Most of it depends on your shred style and type of play. If you shred more than freestyle, then I advise going with a high end shoe. Longer and harder sessions as well as a steady progression is what my shoes give me. Lavers are okay, but as you get older and have more footbag miles on you, then the choice for a better shoe will become obvious. There are some players out there shredding better than ever before and are still using lavers and then there are the rest of us who need something better. Being trendy is okay, but that first morning you wake up and your knees are killing you, then what. Be smart and listen to solid advice compared to popular opinion. Hope this helps,Richie

Just wondering. Canvas or Leather? And do they even make mesh? I'm assuming not.

EDIT: I should clarify. What material for the 520s did Abshire order, or anyone else who ordered these shoes. Thanks.

I have the canvas 520s. I assume richie is not playing in a pair of leather ones, but I could be wrong :? The canvas would be best in my opinion.

Can anyone take a picture or link me to a picture of the instep? I've looked around and couldn't find one. I'm going to get a pair anyway, I think, but it'd be nice to take a look, anyway.

Thanks

Click "Multi-View"... lots of views available, very helpful.

EDIT: Any other suggestions of where to get these from? And other color combinations? Just looking for lower prices and more variety, like on worldfootbag.com with Lavers.

Thanks!! That's really useful, especially on zappos with so many shoes.

As for color combination, as far as I know, it's just white and black.

I got mine in black for $34.00 a pair, and my CT300's were 19.99 a pair in white.
Canvas is the material in which to get these shoes

Do you mod the canvas off? Like is there even a mesh underlayer on it?

I take the paper wads out of the toes, redo the laces, and play.

Where'd you get them for $34? That's a killer deal.
