What!? More Worlds Footage? (Semi Finals Routines)

Post by TwistedTorque »

Ok,
So this video's not done being uploaded. And I'm about to go to the Finals show. PLEASE DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS UNTIL 4pm (by modified standard time(aka Mountain Standard time) ON SATURDAY!!! It might mess up the upload and make it so nobody gets to see it and then it might take me a while to upload it again (out of choice or chance).
This is 9 Semi Finals routines and 1 Quarter Final routine (Jim Penske's). 20 minutes. 134MB.
Enjoy...

I've got to go watch Vasek win his 3rd Worlds...

Awesome, thanks!

I laughed out loud when Penske, after doing 50+ guiltless contacts in two separated guiltless strings, dropped an around the world

Penske is really hardcore!
The highlight for me in your Worlds videos so far, Evan, is definately without question the Jorden footage!!!!!!! Jere L reminded me of that guy who won dropless intermediate in, like, 2000?? He finished his routine, like 30 seconds early and just caught the bag. Then he was busting completely sick bothsided 5s and thought, wow he's sure improved!! Then Jere's name came up, but I would have guessed it was him from the TORCH-R-RACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (to end ROUTINE!!!!!!)

I loved the Penske routine to Bad Dreams by Lyrics Born. The shred was huge, and could have been a little more themed, but the first string to the beats... That was so damn cool. From someone who's heard the song before, too, you anticipate what's going to happen. Aside from that, I thought Yacine's was the best routine. I hope he wins this year, I don't think Vasek's routine's are nearly as good. Harder, maybe, but a little more subtle.

Thank god my schools data transfer is nearly 400kps today! I will see this video in about 5 minutes...then i will come back and edit

Alls i can say is WOW

The girls/ladies are so good! Who was the first one? I forgot to read the name before i "x"ed out. They're both really frickin good!

Jere is awesome, penske just kicks ass, vasek keeps upping that last trick in that same routine. Honza was cool as usual. Jorden is really good as well..

Theres got to be more words than "good" to describe, but i can't think of them right now. OK, they were AWESOME! Keep up the awesome routines!

You're my hero! Due to camera diffuclty I couldn't film semi's and anyways I wouldn't have been able to load it onto my computer without killing some innocent bystanders. Thanks, just felt like you deserved props for this.

Top notch thanks for putting this out so quick and raw and uncut.
Penske's Semifinal routine had such a cool beginning. I love his style.
Yacine's routine was soo awesome. I read about it before and it was
cool that you left the crowd reaction in the video.

Yeah Jere's routine was so awesome. He definitly had the best music (Requiem For A Dream main theme and then that funky opera) and the last section was incredible. He was awesome. Definitly my favourite routine!

I was impressed with both the girls: Verena and Carol. Carol's routine was excellent and I haven't seen much footage of Verena so I was impressed with her game. She has amazing ankles - maybe as good as Vasek's.

Johnny Murphey's routine was really cool. Definitly one of the best choreographed routines in the vid. It's just a pity he dropped a few too many times.

Jim Penske has such awesome style. I already knew that, but it's always great to watch him.

I'm a huge Yacine fan, but I didn't like his routine much - it was too easy and gimicky. It's cool he went dropless but I think he's capable of going much harder than that and I don't think he hit any really hard moves.

I'm still yet to see any footage of Jorden that I think lives up to people's comments of him. I don't think I've seen him link a 5 to a 4 or even any more than 4 tripless - and not much genuine stuff. He does have an awesome range of tricks though and very cool style. Anyway this is mainly just an attempt to get people to post some more hardcore footage of him  because it sounds like he's an amazing player...

Honza's routine was really cool. Especially because I've done a routine to that song as well (although my version of the song was cooler - just a pity my routine wasn't...)

Vasek's wasn't that amazing for his standards - but I think everybody tends to expect more of him than anyone else. I can understand why he'd not want to go too hard in the semis so I think it's ok. Hopefully we'll see his final routine really soon!

Jer, at www.hack-bfa.com, we are trying to get some worlds footage up from jordens random shred. It may take awhile and the site is down until the update is completed, ETA for jorden video is about two days.

And he IS as good as people SAY he is.

Surprisingly I thought this was the best routine I've ever seen from Yacine! Actually one of the best routines I've ever seen. Especially since he took the time to do some "gimicky" stuff that pleased the audience and added some very nice compositional variety to the routine.

Props Yacine!

And props to all other routines that were on those vids and xtra big props to Carol! Almost any freestyle competitor out there could learn a heapload from her! Did you notice how she smiles almost through her entire routine? And the grace...and the style!
I still don't see any woman out there to beat her in routines. Caro, Verena, Hania, Jane and others are taking women freestyle to another level, but still need to smoothen their game in order to beat Carol. Isa, Jule and others have got the natural grace but are far from competing with her technically.

Maybe Denmarks Lise Tygensen will step up next year, she's definately got the talent.

Enough digression, can't wait for Worlds in Helsinki!
