I assume you've taken into account the costs of providing your own schooling for the kids, slower commute times due to piss poor roads, and increased food and fuel costs (AT THE STORE, NOT YOUR SCHOOL) due to loss of government subsidies in your TAXATION argument ?

Maybe it's because they broke the organized labour, and now businesses are having it their way.
Don't like it, fine then work at the other fast food chain.

Anyway, your're right, but not in my eyes because of the reasons you gave. Two parents do need to work now, and this is a definate problem in raising kids.

we both work our kids suffer from not having the guidance they need, especially when our society has advanced so much that they need us now more than ever. And we are not there to provide the other types of assistance that money can't buy.

I understood your point, t is a very legit one to make. Normally both parents wouldn't choose to work, and something is forcing this to become the normal situation. Kids are being forced to raise themselves, and there is no clear line of sight to the enemy who makes this situation so. I personally can't imagine being married because I was raised with the previous standard, and short of murderous tactics and outright thuggery I couldn't support more than myself in this day and age.
