there are some wierd rules posted for the shred "45" at funtastik. It basicaly says shred for 45 sec, three drops you're out and most adds wins.
I think the last thing was posted last year and it turned into a regular shred 30. I REALY hope the same thing happens this year cause I got a shred 30 planned and that 45 second add only thing sounds crappy IMO. Acutualy it sounds fun but I don't think I'd do as well in it, so it sounds crapy
Anyone got any info on what will ACTUALY happen, or do I just have to wait?
The 45 Second Shred at Funtastiks is kind of the grand-daddy of all shred contests. I don't think it was the very first shred contest, but it has been a long-running event there, and Funtastics is about the only tournament that consistently held an event of that kind for many years already.
Anyway, the rules that they post every year are the same rules that they have been posting for a long time. They don't actually still run a "45 Second Shred" and they don't count ADDs only. Its been a 30 second shred with uniques times ratio plus adds for several years. Brenda and Joe simply don't bother updating the info they put on-line. Whats more, Brenda and Joe won't exactly be running the event anyway. Last year me and Flash scored the event, and this year, if we're lucky, we won't even let Joe do the Microphone part (he didn't know that the clock starts when the player does, as opposed to giving a "ready-set-go!" count to tell the shredder when to start).
Rest assured, the shred contest at Funtastics will be exactly the kind of shred contest that you are accustomed to. It just has a history that kind of lingers...
