sets

Post by joplick »

i have a few questions that i would like to have solidified in this thread. in regards to atomic sets, sailing sets, nuclear sets, shooting sets. is there any weird paradox adds on these sets. as far as i knew atom smasher was a 3 add but people are refering to it as a 4. same question goes for sailing mirage. does that get a paradox? is the paradox component reversed in nuclear and shooting sets? for example: would shooting/ nuclear ss torque get a paradox or would shooting/nuclear torque get the paradox? cause the 2nd one is probably a lot harder. those are my questions... or is it all just an xdex thing?

atomsmasher, sailing mirage etc. all get x dexes.

Nuclear and shooting sets can get both an x dex and pdx add. For example shooting mirage is a 6 add - it gets 3 dex adds, an x dex, a pdx and a delay.

Shooting and nuclear ss tricks are a little controversial. But it is becoming more widely accepted that a when the bag comes back towards the way it was set - ie nuclear ss mirage - it does get a pdx add because if you did the same move but missed one of the dexes it would get that add. However it wouldn't get an x dex.

So nuclear/ shooting ss torque is a 6/7 add while nuclear/shooting op side torque is 7/8 add.

thanx a lot for the clarification. does everyone now use x-dex cause i didnt know if that caught into the mainstream yet. so i always assume a move is without the x-dex component.

X-DEX is official 'in use' since 2001 (?) I think. And, as I know, at Worlds'04 in Montreal Shred30sec was counted with X-DEX adds.

Greats.

Befor Worlds Elis (I think) wrote this.
