Funky Fresh Concept

Post by Jorden »

Flying toe sets!!

What the devil is that, you ask?? :? Let me explain.

Those of you who attended Worlds may have seen a flying toe here and there during a couple of my runs. yipee. It's a toe stall where both feet are off the ground and the bag is let go before either foot touches the ground.

Now for the funky fresh part. Upon toe stalling the bag whilst not touching the ground, one can do a single-dex set before landing (ie pixie or fairy). Let me just say, the timing for these sets are totally WACK!! I've managed to hit flying fairy butterfly thus far. Interesting concept?? Please tell me your thoughts.

Something like Eclypse but with toe stall and without moving foot to x-body position?
It would be sick to ht Fairy or Pixie this way...

Stalling and setting mid-air without planting? Sounds pretty wacko indeed...

Just to clear this up... what moves could you set this out of? Like, if you did a clip set mirage and then caught it on toe, would you jump off your dexing leg (for the previous move) and then set mid-air, or would you have to set the bag in the middle of the paradox mirage, before you landed with your dexing leg like...

1. Set from clipper
2. Dex
3. Catch and set from toe while dexing like a pixie or something
4. Land on your non-setting foot.

Maybe I just don't get it. I've seen eclipse though, and I like the way that looks mid-air. Sounds cool though.

Sounds cool. I'd like to see a vid. :)

I wonder if you could do something like a symposium mirage except using the symp. foot to stall and set the bag while in the air before landing on it. I've been trying this, buy can't get the ballance down.

I like it, I can't really picture what it would look like as a set.

I feel like you'd wanna jump off and land back on the catching/setting leg, or else its really nothing too diferent. Kinda like the idea for doing a proper jester. In other words, keep the support leg airborne throughout the trick.

Is this how you've been doing it?

U could also step and then do mid air pixie set into a paradon or something like that? BOMB!!!
There is always a bigger trick.

Go watch a vid. of Dylan Fry.

Like stepping symposium toe stall > pixie paradon... Damn, that's huge. That's sort of like shuffling moves with knee bumps in the middle of moves, only with this you can actually dex and the like. It seems like that should get some sort of a body add, though the dex isn't necessarily symposium...

I think Johnny has his new camera now, so I might be able to get this on vid in the next little while.

I actually push off the ground and land on the supporting foot when I stall, NOT the stalling foot. Hit another flying fairy butter last night. :D

I'd like to see you hit dominatrix or fairy atom smasher (that would probably be significantly harder and cooler) from one of these, if you're up to throwing down some attempts. :)

Nah. I think flying pixie and fairy works fine. I don't want to explode people's minds by adding more unnecessary terms. (flucking, fucking, flicking, nosepicking -- where does it end??)
