Bad days?

Post by 420FootBager »

do you have bad days at footbag?

Today was not really a bad day but a very frustrating one.

I trained for over an hour on my stalls and my pendulum (finnaly got 1). I did pretty well but for some odd reason I could not consistently hit my most basic and easy move which is an inside stall, I worked it and worked it and still could not hit it consistently. I finally got it back in the last 15 mins or so of training but I found it odd that I could hit it 100% of the time yesterday..... :?

Anything like this ever happen to you guys?

I get these days relatively often too. Furtunately for me, when I have days where I just can't seem to hit the stuff I'm trying, stuff that I can ordinarily hit, I'll move on to something else that I hadn't really intended to work that day. Usually I'll have better luck with that next set of stuff, and if not, I'll move on to still different stuff.

If you're having one of those bad days, I recommend practicing something else instead (stalls giving you a hard time? try some flyers instead!).

By the way, 420, where exactly in Jersey are you? Come up and shred with us in Somerville soon! And come to Funtastics in Harrisburg, PA on Labor Day. Its about as good of a tournament as one could ask for, and an easy drive from Jersey (easier, than, say, Montreal or Denver...)

I had a bad day today. My legs were so sore, that I couldn't play at all... Shin splits, pain at hips and knees... mostly because of skooling furious and atomic sets...

I have had quite a few bad days. Mostly when I shred solo tho. Sore legs, stiff legs, my legs but not under my command, drop the bag from the toss, land under 5 consec kicks, kick myself doing clippers, straining my thigh in ATW, and kicking the footbag straight up into my forehead... All these things piss me off...

Im pretty good at controling my emotions though but I went through a shit patch 2 weeks ago or so. I expect me to master a trick once I land it once so I ofter get frustrated with me rather that the footbag. Alas, I have hurled my sandbag across the room once or twice. But as always, no matter how hard I throw the bag I never seem to break the effing wall, I gave up punching walls years ago after breaking my hand.

I used to have bad days all the time. But I think the longer you've been playing, and the more fun your having the less bad days you have. But they will never go away, everyone has bad days, even Vasek.

I've had a bad couple days for freak footbag accidents. I was footbagging barefoot and I cut my hand on my toe, and I was just like how do did that happen... Then footbagging inside, i slipped on th floor and rammed my shoulder into the edge of our cabinets... it was very odd...
