I didn't even realize the CA democrat thing. Crap!

This is when I say your voice don't mean shit, if your district isn't voting for your candidate. But I'll go along with it. If we go Popular vote, Gore should be president and we would all be paying him royalties for talking to each other, after all, he invented the internet.

So crapity, crap, crap, crap. I told my wife I was voting Bush anyway. Nadar is just another vote for Bush anyway, and Bart Simpson isn't running this time around and he was my stand by. I'd write in someone, but really, that never works. So Bush it is.

kerry wants to raise taxes for rich people, right? well i think alot of people are missing the point that rich people make jobs. think about it. a man has 10 house's and those house's need to be furnished. some one has to build the furniture creating work. then the company expands. same thing with maids or gardeners or anything. if that man buys 10 cars, 10 cars have to be built. see my point. and i thought his speech was nothing more than slogans. plus i loved the hampster story.
i thought the veitname war was disliked by democrates, now its all we hear about.
its seems like kerry sais he is going to wait for us to get attacked. like hes going to be really doing something...when we get attacked. how about we prevent it instead of wait for it.
these are just some of my thoughts. maybe im full of shit but thats what i think.

yeah, use the job-generating wealth of John Kerry's wife for example.

A lot of petrolleum workers are provided employment to process the enormous quantities of gasoline that are consumed by his wife's Gulfstream private jet, and their many SUV's.

A poor shmuck with a hybrid egg cart never gave anyone an oil job.

Almost need a double post to think about how much fuel a private jet like that must guzzle.

For the all their platitudes about the environment, you can be sure that the Kerrys, Kennedys, and Gores will continue their opulent traveling habits, dwarving your personal fuel consumption 100-fold.

They will shake their finger at us for our selfish consumption, and then slip into their caravan of SUV's to go catch their private plane.

Kerry wants to fight a more sensitive war.

I'm sure Al Queda will respond in turn to that.

Lol. Yep, I guess you'll be voting for Nader then? Or is George Bush going to protect the environment better than Kerry?

Nader? haha

The "environment" issue would never be an important factor in my voting.

First and foremost, the "environment" is used to further many leftist agendas......attack private property and capitalism.

Environmentalists will easily ignore wanton environmental destruction, if it runs counter to their other agendas.

For example, (this ties in with the prez. choices) the immigration problem directly affects the environment.

Large areas of the border look like garbage dumps.

They are filled with empty plastic water jugs, dirty diapers, garbage bags, medical waste, etc....

Local Indian tribes cannot afford to tow away all the abandoned cars left on their territories.

If a corporation was doing this, the pictures would be plastered accross T.V., with the Sierra Club leading the way.

But their silence is DEAFENING.

On a larger scale, why is L.A. and other SW cities pollution stinkholes?

Where is the water going to come from to sustain this population explosion?

What happened to the so-called overpopulation problem?

How good are YOUR (1 person) conservation efforts when your city, state, country adds a dozen enviromentally careless and ignorant individuals each year.

America loses on the numbers game alone.

That is just one issue, but it a purely political game.

Every candidate or official with an (R) next to their name is poisoning the air and water, and destroying the environment with their evil greed.

Every candidate or official with a (D) next to their name is a champion for mother nature, and a hero to the earth.

It is that simple, and enough people buy it.

----------------------------------------

As far as what the different prez.'s might do, Kerry would probably enact more land grabs, and restrictions on private property use, while allowing his corporate friends to do whatever.

All candidates will further encourage millions of new litterers to enter the country each year, so we all lose on that issue.

p.s.

Bush can sink or swim without my vote, we'll see how his many sell-outs and "Hispandering" do in the election (against the pathetic candidacy of the John Johns'.

That's the point of trickle down economics. However, It hasn't really worked too well, IMO. Just like in the past, the theory is good, but the reality is that (often) rich people end up getting greedy and don't allow the money to trickle down into the rest of the economy. They keep paying their workers the same amount, despite they are recieving more money. That is what I have come to notice in much of this tax break stuff.

As for the war, all we had was Al Quida. We've discovered that Saddam had no ties to Bin Laden, and visa versa. I was all for defending our country against Al Quida (Not that I really think that they could stage another attack). But then the lines became blurred as to what we were defending and fighting for, and now we are in Iraq with no easy way out whatsoever. The storming into Iraq also is a benchmark for the US; It's the first time we've actually took military action against another country completely unprovoked. (that word has now lost meaning to me all of a sudden....)

By the sound of it,. Kerry wants to go back to the way things were pre 9/11. Anyway's it's my turn to go... Work calls...

Also, George Carlin came on... Rockets and Penises. Funny shit to listen to about this subject.

There are so many ways to attack America. Not all attacks have to be planned out.

Think about this:

Drive a car into a gas pump during a mid-Saturday at Costco. Tons of rich people blown to bits.

Throw fireworks into a propane display at any Target or Wal-Mart during Christmas Rush.

Dig a hole in your backyard and rupture a pipeline (Call before you dig).

Throw a cigarette butt out your car window during Santa Annas in San Diego (This causes thousands of homes to be destroyed every year in dry places around CA and happens usually by accident, what if it were on purpose?)

I'm sure with a little common sense you too can think of things that we take for granted everyday that could be used to commit acts of terror.

That said, no matter who is in charge there will be a threat however big or small, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. With technology comes responsibility and America is just one of many nations that have things like Powerlines just out in the air for anyone to exploit.

What I find interesting in the South, is that if you are a terrorist and you come into the south guns blazing, expect to get shot at or killed by Billy Bob gun rights activist who has an arsonal at his disposal.

Better yet bring your sorry ass into the hood and also expect to have your ass handed to you with weapons better than your own.

Worst of all is the rich suburbanite who believes guns kill people and won't own one. He'll be the first to go should urban warfare break out.

But I'm getting off subject. I just don't think any political moves can prevent an attack on our soil. We must be vigilante, and this ani't no BUSH thing, it's a "Protect your own" thing.

Well said there. But I ultimately meant international terror.

However I do like the idea of fireworks into a propane tank...

At least those people are working. No matter how much you amalyze it, its a job that gets pay.

We are in Iraq because they want us there. If they told us to leave we would have to but they dont. We are giving them protection along with assesing terrorists until they can build a working government of there own. So we are not in a situation where there is no easy way out.
Kerry cant get us into a position that we are " pre 9/11" We have been attacked and cant go back. The presidents job is to protect the United States. Now that we have been attacked there is no going back. We have to keep our gaurd up. How can we expect that with Kerry as president we are going to be safe if he dosent acknowlege the fact that people hate america and will attack us at will. " Pre 9/11" just means that our country could be attacked agian.
On a totally diffrent note, I think it should be said, that right when Kerry got home from Vietname he took himself out of the Navy and joined anti war ralies. Not to mention throw his so prized 3 purple hearts right over the white house fences. Now how can we expect a president to have an effective plan on our war with terror if he himself is agianst it. How can he protect us and do the right things. We cant just leave Iraq the way it is now.
I cant wait untill the debates come and the republican national convention. All I know is that there wont be any fake bullets or bs of that matter.

The US has it's hand in too many pots at the moment abroad. We are stretched pretty thin. Just today Bush stated that troops would be seeing a realignment. I think he too sees the problem of trying to "Save Everyone".

Iraq is only one battle field. As things stabilize in that region, we will withdrawl, and as Ashley said, we can leave at anytime. Unfortunately for Bush Jr., he cannot simply do as Bush Sr. did and leave. This left a sour taste in Iraqi's mouths which can be felt today as we battle insurgeants in Najaf, and elsewhere in the country.

There is no longer a threat to Americans in America from Iraq. Just as there is no threat from Russia after democracy took hold during the Cold War. I'm not saying democracy is even the answer. The answer is seeing it through to the end no matter what the outcome, or face persecution of another kind for leaving mid course.

As far as terror abroad, we have seen a sharp increase in European and Asian countries being tortured by bombings. Sure it is easier to walk into a crowded shopping center and set off a suicide bomb amongst those who aren't as vigilante for one(they may or may not posses stock piles of arms themselves, while in America any given Redneck owns a gun rack full of weapons mounted in the back glass of his pick-up truck), and also where their presence is more common place for another (Arab terrorists can intermingle with the general public easier in an Arab country amongst other Arabs, than in America where they might be looked at twice by a racist grandmother from the 20s.)

Kerry on the other hand hasn't really offered us much to give him credit for, relying heavily on anti-Bush rhetoric and market positioning rather than any real political stand. He is a flip-flop, a pancake, a biscuit soaked corn muffin, burnt on one side and fluffy on the other.

Granted, he threw his purple hearts and medals (I belive that what it was) over the white house wall. But there is no question he served our country in Nam. How else would he have got those purple hearts? That's more than I can say for the current president. At best, his military record is shaky.

I'd trust a guy who's been in a war and threw away his awards more than a guy who was busy ditching most of his military service. And let's not get onto the subject of Cheney...

So Kerry does flip-flol a lot... Perhaps it's because he wants to get as many votes as possible, and to do that, he must compromise his postion. That's possible. At which point, I don't think he'd be much better than Bush.

By "pre 9/11," I meant isolationist. The one that doesn't acknowlege that people hate america is Bush, from what I've seen. But then again, I've not been keeping up with politics lately... Work sucks.

The point in time doesn't matter when it comes to our country being attacked. It's completely irrelevent. I'm pretty sure that America is going to be attacked again. And when it happens, we'll probably get all up in arms again.

Who's the right one for the next four years? Tough call... For all we know, it may be Nader. But from the performance I've seen over the past 4 years, Bush doesn't seem to be the correct choice.

How about just the fact that I know Edwards indirectly, because I dated one of his "cases." She's a total bitch, who should've died from her accident, and he's a jackass when he's not on camera. But that's my personal bias. I'll admit to that.

I think it is very important to recognise that there is a difference between what the ruling class of a country what and what the majority want. I'm sure the rulers of Iraq want the US to stay there so as to stop a public uprising and the overthrow of government. Maraxus is in Iraq, perhaps he can tell us - does it feel like the majority of Iraqi people are pleased to see you, or unhappy? The media has been failing to report that almost every week there are enourmas peaceful demonstrations in Iraq and it is easy to believe that the religious right, as well as nationalists the US leave.

Do you believe the Vietnam war was a just and right war for America to be involved in? Are you happy with the knowledge that not only did you lose, but communism didn't sweep across the South Pacific, millions of Vietnamese were killed and they still have the highest rates of birth defects and cancer in the world. Surely if you believe - as most historians and even many of the people involved in the administration at the time (see "Fog Of War" An excellent movie!) believe, that the war was a mistake, then you'd have to say that somebody who went to Vietnam, risked his life for his country - even when he came to realise that what was happening was wrong - then came back and told stood up for what he believed is someone with very stong convictions.
