If somebody threatened to ps whirl them to death, we just might pull it off. We even have a Disco Ninja and The Executioner to help with the dirty work. There are many Gangsta Parties within the footbag community, enough to get it done.

He was making a joke using the tough/intimidating names of people/moves in our sport.

PS Whirl - Move
Disco Ninja - Nickname of Tuan Vu
The Executioner - Nickname of Peter Irish
Gangsta Party - Move

It was a relatively humorous joke, but now that I've had to explain it... it's not.

i agree, it was a great joke. but..... now ill just pretend i didnt read the post that included that question. and it will be humurous still

back on topic, has anyone ever played the California Games for genesis, super nintendo?

it had "Hacky Sack" in it, and it sucked. you could head hit, toe stall, jester, and normal kick and outside kick

the designers of games would not go out to great lengths to figure out how to make each move flow with the other, and they wouldnt search for every move out there.

even worse, theyd throw in moves that dont exist.

i think its better for the sport for us to be playing footbag, than play it on a television and game system

No see all of you guys weren't here when they made the TNT footbag game. Back when it was made, it was really a breakthrough kinda thing... although by today's standards people would think that it sucks. IF I get time tonight, I'll host the preview video for y'all new schoolers to see it. It was called Tricks and Thrills or something, and actually was a good start. I remember someone from the board went to E3 and tested it out and said it was pretty cool. But yeah, there has been a desire for a footbag game for a while. It may not happen for a while, if it ever does.

EDIT: It never went into mass production.

I had an idea for an online footbag game that used the Morrowind engine.

It would have real life looking shred spots, in different parts of the world, you could map your face to your character and emulate certain styles. You could start or join circles anywhere in these real like maps, when you werent shreding you would go into first person mode to watch the other person shred from your vantage point, and give props, w00ts, claps and other such modes of appreciation to other shredders when they hit something great.

Your character would start out like at the bottom, but it would evolve like a RPG in a sense.

You would have a tony hawk style of pulling tricks off in the time frame between set and delay... if you do too many moves before the delay... it drops...

For example, you start off with twos, say you get a certain level in mirage and osis, you get a basic torque, then when you get a certain level in pixie set and butterfly you get basic pixie butterfly. The basic level would allow you to pull the move off in time to catch it on a delay, but as you get better at it, it moves more fluently and quickly, allowing you to add moves into it.

I dont think it would matter how many copies sold. It would be a great game and it could be developed by footbagers for the PC.

I can do 3d modeling/rendering. I just couldn't program it.

Major props, Spadrick. That game sounds awsome! I would buy it!

I think if a company made a game, there would be a market. Considering there 897 people register on Modified, figure 100 people registered twice that still around 800 people. Lets say 100 people don't buy copys so that slice that do to 700. Charge 50 bucks a copy you make 35000, from people just off this fourm.

15,544 people register with footbag.org. Lets say 1,544 people don't buy a copy. They would make $700,000 if they charged 50 bucks a copy. Also, you gotta factor in people who don't play footbag but bought they game. Like I don't play soocer but I have the game. I have 2 Tony Hawks but I never skated. I have 2 SSX but I don't snowborad. So, IMO, whomever makes it might make 1 million- 1.5 million, if done well. Not gonna make the creators rich but gonna feed 'em.

Also, could you ask for a better way to promote footbag? It's like sending all these people to worlds. Millions of people are going to be aware of this footbag game. Millions of people are going to be exposed in some way to footbag. Which may lead to some rough water.

*OFF-TOPIC*

Let's say, the footbag game hits it big and goes main stream. Is that really what everybody wants? I know this topic been beaten to it's death both here and on flipsider, but I gonna add more. Personally, I have major mixed feelings.

NEGETIVE: If the game goes "hollywood" it might become a fad for some people. I just have this horrible inmage of high school gym full of freestylers with circle kickers skills and attuide pimped out in addias short shorts and Lavers, Wiping sweat off there bodies with Addias towels from the effort of trying to kept the "hacky" in the air for 5 kicks. Who call them selfs phat freestylers since they just hit a toe stall. (I don't even consider my self a freestyler; more like attempting freestyler) It would suck if these forums get flooded with new people and 897 jumps to 2000 in a day. Right now, I kinda know most peoples real names so it's personal. But think if 1000 new people come and get the newbie " I gotta post alot" itch, ther be like 20 new topics in a day. The bags stichers would be flooded with orders. The stichers would never be able to keep up with the masses demands for 32. It be exertamly good for them but making geting your hands on a Abshire or a Felix hard.

POSTIVE: More people to shred with! More interest into the sport is a awesome wonderful beautiful thing! Shoe companys might finally make a "made for footbag" shoe. And more respect as a sport. More people into the sport will rasie the level of play so people be hitting 12 add tricks (Is that even possible?)

Yeah, it's like 2:00 AM  and I so tried ( I got up at 5 to be fair,). Sorry for any spelling errors. I ran it through spell check :? Sorry for this kinda off topic ramabling. I know I goona wake up in the morinage read this and be like, "Fuck, I posted that."
I think I going to take over Canada. You should help.

Dude, Spadrick... that sounds awesome! Would it be possible to hook it up to the internet so me and all the other cripples could shred it up with each other while we're injured, or to be able to be like "G'day Jeremy. Nice atomsmasher. Could ya pass me the bag mate? Thanks." That would be so, so, so phat.
