washing lavers

Since all threads about this topic got lost, I'm gonna start a new one,
because my first pair needs a good banging in the washing machine.

How do you wash them? Will a washing machine do? At what temperature?

yeh just bung them in the washing machine, but there's a few things to do first:

Wash the shoes by itself, dont put any other clothing in there with the shoes.
Take the laces off and hand wash them yourself if theyre white.
Leave the insoles in.
Wash them in a warm to cold temperature.

They will get cleaned very nicely. The only thing i did wrong was that i left the laces on and there was pilling all over it. I think it was from my other shoes that i put in there. If you dont take the laces out, it could start stretching and pulling the eyelets and stuff, its not very serious but its best if u just took them off and hand washed them.

I just threw mine in the washing machine, and everything seemed to work out fine, I didn't use the dryer though, I let them air dry... I don't know if it is different if your lavers are modded heavely or not though...

I washed them and it turned out great. Even my color modifications
stayed (I have painted the white stripe yellow, see picture).
They look even brighter, bluer and cleaner than on the picture

It's a chainmail Hackysack. I got one from Lon Smith. Brian Goldner
makes those. They're pretty fun to kick with. Only problem is that
they're slippery as hell...

What I do with my skate shoes and stuff is put the washing machine on the option "soak" if you have it. That way it gets the extra stink and other shit out too.

Hey Ebo, how did you get that yellow stripe on your lavers?

Laver project of mine:
Taking White/green lavers and dying the white mesh, rubber, and tongue black with RitDye (applying it on by soaking a rag and than rubbing it on), but leaving the Lacing-eye-lets leather part white. So it'll look like black/green lavers.

I used an Edding, a waterproof marker, with a thick tip. It does the
Job pretty well. You have to repaint it after a while, but it doesn't get
washed off in the washing machine.

What about NBCT520's? I'm planning on getting the white pair, so when they get dirrty, I can clean them up. But should I throw them in the washing machine or just like...wipe 'em down with a cloth.

I think when you have washed your lavars they are more tight to your feeds and thats nice.

WASH YOUR LAVER'S BEFORE EACH EVENT.

JUST TAKE THE LACES OUT AND PUT THEM IN THE WASHING MACHINE AS YOU WOULD CLOTHING.

USE MORE WATER AND MORE DETERGENT AND DON'T PUT THEM IN THE DRYER. DRY THEM OUT BY WEARING THEM AROUND THE HOUSE WITH 2 PAIR OF SOCKS ON.
