Trippin with Trippin (New Video!)

Post by mosher »

Hey everybody!
I got to shred with Johnny and Jarrett (and other BFA-ers that are not shown) from the brantford footbag association and we got our film on.

I made that stuff, and some stuff from me drilling yesterday, into a movie.

The toe blur I hit was the only toe blur I have ever attempted, even since that shot and it just worked out.

There are two size versions, one is 53 MB's and is WAY better quality it is found here:
http://www.footbag.org/gallery/show/3060
The lower quality one is a little less that 13 MB's but it's super choppy and the sound sounds underwater, it is here:
http://www.footbag.org/gallery/show/3061

I really hope you enjoy watching my movie, it was alot of fun making it.

Oh, and there is a bunch of johnny footage that I left out by accident and I will whip that into a a johnny suderman special.

PLEASE COMMENT ALOT OR I WILL CRY!!

P.S. to avoid any akward situations, I made the music so keep that in mind before ripping into it.
Also, I think it is interesting to note that this is me 5 months ago TO THE DAY:

I second that. Its seeing vids like this one, that makes me wonder why there aren't more footage of Johnny Superman. I could watch him play all day...

Thanks for the video. Me likes.

First off,
Mosher, to me you are an exact replica of Stylie Eric Reile except without the crazy fairy set (yet). You have the same body type, the same leg positions while shredding (knee bent inward slightly on pdx mirage, etc.), long hair, the list goes on.

The other two shredders were fun to watch. I like Hutton's style, really pretty smooth (the blender). Also, the blurriest looked rather sweet, with the second and third dexes being performed so circularly. Well, I knew what I meant, oh well.

Suderman, the crazy knee action and really fast downtime moves make your style fairly unique to watch. Great left lef atomic set, the right is your flip, yes?? Anyhow, sweet moves and combos. Props on all those combos and big tricks. I want my drifters to be as fast as yours!

ebo: thanks alot man, did you notice the first and second atomsmashers were on different sides?

kaos: I have a ton of Johnny footage that I accidentally left out of the movie, it will be whipped up into a johnny superman special.

Jeremy: I hit a couple fairy tricks in the movie, in both the clips the fairy is just under my chin. I'll work on crazy-ifying my fairys more.

Newf: My money for the next ontario BAP-er is Johnny's little brother, he's the kid that makes the cameo and hits his record NINE inside kicks!

I think it is worth noting that Jarrett had the least time in front of the camera and he is totally capable of busting 6's and 10's if he wants but I had the least footage of him to work with. (and clearly, i had an assload of me footage)

Oh, and Johnny is like the sweetest R/C car ever! You can tell him to hit something and he will, the end. He's so effing good!

GAH !! That was one of the best vids I've seen in a while, I can't quite put a finger on what made it so watchable. Possibly the air blowing on my leg from my subwoofer. That flower jumping section looked like a lot of fun, just don't go hurting yourself badly *mom* ! Also Johnny was f'n up that bag, makes me want to play so much right now, and everyone's level of play was atleast a notch above what I last saw. I have 1 request, make more vids !
More C4 please <3

The video was sweet

Props on the atomsmashers Tom. You are improving quite well. Your pixie sets look so effortless, I'm jealous! Gah!

Holy crap Johnny is good ...

Jarret is good too, I saw him bust first hand at Worlds so I know what it's all about.

In other news, was I the only person who thought that the distance you guys jumped over those flowers was HUGE?!?!? Seriously, it looked like such a long jump. Maybe it was the angle or something but if you just showed me the gap I would have predicted the person to land somewhere in the middle.

No man, that's what I thought too.

ok it went like this:
we were walking to the park, Johnny and Adam and I, and they said that there was a big flower thing that johnny had jumped over before. I am the jumping type so I said that I wanted to jump it, noting that at this point I still hadn't seen the gap. We arrived at the spot and the flower garden was immense! I completely ruled it out as a possible thing I could clear. Johnny offered to take a shot at it and JUST cleared it and had his feet slip out and he fell flat on his back and slid. It was hilarious I swear.
So it was my turn. Johnny stepped up and now I had to walk the walk. I ran with all my might, planted and completely cleared the mother and landed running.
This was all well before we had really shredded at all remember so it wasn't that hard.
As we were leaving after several hours of shredding we remembered that we wanted to get the flower jump on tape. He gave it two mighty attempts, one he landed a few feet short in the flowers (ending ones life) and the other is the one where he came up just short in the movie. My two attempts were shown.

What a long reply. I bet no one will read that whole thing.

sha wheat!
Johnny's looking pretty phat. His mirages and illusions look as cool as I remember from last year. And his hair gives an added cool factor. I'd say the video highlight had to be the far symple pickup though, nice moshman!!

yeah dude the far symple pickup was phat! Nice vid Tom, you've improved so much!!!

Johnny is really good too - it's great to finally have some footage of him - some big moves and good shuffle!

Jarrett was also very impressive. I particularly liked the bit where he counts three (dexes?) and then hits blurriest!

The little kid was good, but a bit one sided...

Just one thing with your six add Tom - going over it frame by frame, you plant the pixie set before the quantum set - this means it's just a frantic set (not beta frantic) so is only a 5 add. Not that adds matter and it's still a huge move!

Great music too - I really liked this vid - good work!! :D

edit: late in the vid you hit fear>atomsmasher and then it cuts to you hitting your first and second atomsmashers ever - I think it would have been good to put those clips before the fear>atomsmasher... Not a big deal though.

Tom dude, awesome video man, seriously good job on that! Its so cool when you take the time to do things like this!
Newf wrote:As a side question, is there any eta on footbagonterio.ca yet?
At this point, no. We are waiting on a guy that is doing the login and profile creation PHP scripting, and we are waiting for some content. Putting a blank site up on the net is pretty lame.

As far as more video from Johnny, Jarrett and Jorden (Three mean J's), you can stay tuned to http://www.footbagontario.ca and http://www.hack-bfa.com.

Mosher, SummersEnd Shred WILL BE THE BEST VIDEO OP EVER!

Jeremy: i just did a test set and I know I can land with the quantum/wonton leg first, in the second one my feet land almost at the same time, I'm sure if I conciously thought about it it wouldnt be an issue. Also, i just threw those in for fun, I gave it a few shots at the end of my session and came kinda close to them so I felt like including them.
And with the fear>atomsmasher, I didn't quite seal it (just missed my hand) but it looked close enough for the movie so I left it in. the first and second ones were still really the first and second ones I ever sealed.

As for the far symple pickup that was a complete surprise/accident. I set it from clipper and planted as if I was PS somethinging and didn't know what to do so I symple pickuped.

Again, thanks alot everyone for commenting, it makes making it seem so much more worth it because then you know that your coolass footbag friends got to see your movie.
