The mod you are referring to zach, keeps the mesh on your instep from bunching when you crank your ankle. Some people think it helps, some don't think it matters. And no, the corner isn't abraisive against your skin. I don't notice it ever.

I think the difference is whether you have men's lavers or women's
lavers. The heel leather strip on women's lavers is generally white, afaik.

Maybe I ordered mine from http://worldfootbag.com/catalog/ so I'm not sure if there men's or womens... I ordered them a while ago, even before I was really into freestyle, I just thought they where really cool shoes cause they where all red... My friend has blue lavers and his old pair had a white back with blue adidas and his new ones have a blue back with white adidas... anyone know for sure...

im almost posotive its the womens/mens deal. ashley bought a pair of dark blue lavers, and her back stripe was white, and mine was dark blue. i havent seen any women wear red lavers though. idk.

Did you let your dog mod your shoes Jeremy?

I did some more modding to my shoes last night, as soon as my camera is working I will post them.

My shoes are almost two years old and for large periods of that time have been played with every day for up to ten hours (that's my record!)... I think they look like they're in pretty good condition!! Also new shoes should be arriving either Monday or Tuesday (they've arrived with my sponsor - acefootbags - in Melbourne and have been forwarded on - so not long to wait :D )

As you can see, I've done the brocka mod, as well as what could be called the "stephens" mod - ie in order for the walls not to catch my pixie sets I cut them off - infact I cut more than Lynton does so that there was no danger. Lynton actually pretty much cuts the entire laces off except the top - but I like tight shoes - which is why I lace them in the normal manner, instead of the Shults laceing style. I've also pretty much ripped everything out of the inside of the shoes.

Are you going to do the same mods with your new shoes?

Hmm. Good question. I'll do it as I feel I need it. I probably will do a lot less visable modding so I can walk around in my lavers without having strangers tell me I need new shoes :x But I plan on being even more hardcore - probably doing the "Ellis" drill holes in the shoe mod, ripping out even more of the insides - I may cut the walls off a little, but it really depends - I'd definitly prefer not to since a good style on a pixie set doesn't catch the walls anway - but I don't want to lose my sailing set either - we'll have to wait and see. :?

Since my feet are so flat, my toe box always caves in so I made some spacers from bic pens.
