1-Foot, 2-Bag Juggling

Post by Dawn Of Freestyle »

Someone in the footbag_circle at yahoo has asked for advice on how to juggle two on one foot. Yes, my husband is the expert but he's busy makin bags. I've maybe gotten three catches, so I'm no help.

Anyone want to offer some advice that I could pass along?

Thanks

Hey, I've seen one too many pros juggle with toes. What add move is that exactly? Is it like 4 or 5 or 6? Or is it just a novelty thing?

Confused

Actually when you juggle you get an add for every contact. I don't remember exactly how it works, but if you are juggling two bags on one foot you get 2 adds for one rotation, I think. Umm, Chad hit blurry whirl with two bags at CSS4 for sick 3. Blurry whirl with two bags is 6 adds, I think. I don't think it doubles, but I'm not 100% sure. I think you just get an extra add for each bag.

Wait -- you may get more adds for juggling, actually. It may be two adds for every bag juggled if you're juggling 2 bags...Bleh: someone can correct me.

I second that - it doesn't matter how many adds I get - i just want to juggle two bags - so some advice would be welcome!

ok, I can get about 10 rotations pretty consistant and this is how I do it.

you're goal is to make a fornt to back circle. It won't look much like a circle from you're perspective but if someone was looking at you from a profile , it would look like a circle.
I always start with one bag on my foot, then bend over and arc the second on tword me to start the prosess. Watch ryan or vaseks routines to see what I mean. Then its just throw>catch>rpt.
It also helps to juggle one bag with a hop in between pretending like you are catching a second bag. Timing is pretty key and you're support leg may get tired at first because it should be doing a little hop every half second.
This stuff definatly impresses the non footbaggers. datw>juggling>ducking>spinning>flying clipper pass gets an aplause every time! DO IT!

i believe that i heard somewhere that it's an extra add for every additional bag in play. i.e. a toe stall with two bags in play is two adds, with three bags in play it's three adds.

My tips:

Start with one bag on your foot, one in the hand on the same side as your juggling foot. Lower your hand and gently toss the bag up. WAIT for it to peak. When the first bag peaks, aim the second bag on your foot at the exact place where the first bag peaks, and prepare to catch the first bag. When the second bag peaks and the first bag is already on your foot, set the first bag to the same peaking spot again, etc. Try to build a rhythm with stalling and hopping with your support leg.

When setting, have the bag s set backwards towards you, in a slight circle, so they pass backwards over one another.

remember to lean back. set the bag slightly toward you from a little further ahead than your catch spot, effectlively making a big elongated oval path. Set high enough to get a comfortable rhythm.

Remembering these things is helping me get it.

Does anyone want to make an instructional video of this? I am just messing around with this but I'm getting nowhere.

I can get 3, maybe 5 before either it flies away from my foot or it hits the other bag. I think one of the main things is a :perfect: toe stall, where you catch it straight up and down, then put a backspin on it. I don't really know, I'm still screwing around with it. Tell me if a tutorial video is made.
