Lots of Finnish player are using these shoes to shred instead of Lavers.

Can any of these guys can give me (us) the exact name of the modell of the shoe so that it would be possible to look for them on ebay or stores in europe.

Moreover a little review would be nice and how to modify them.

Y'know, I looked into a pair... I think they were something like $120, and very blue. I'm not sure if this helps, but that's what I remember from when I looked.

I'm looking into them as well, and I look up "Climacool" on eastbay.com and I get 8(!) different models.

can any finish player who uses them ( i guess 80 percent of them are using this modell) reply to this thread because there are several fins on the board it should not a big problem to opst a pic and write a little report

That's not true. A lot more players use lavers in Finland. I think you get the percentage like that, because quite a lot of the top players use climas. My brother is one of them and I don't think the ones that he's using is any of those models ovetin mentioned. Someone else needs to confirm that one though. I am a happy rod laver user

Climacool is a product line, not a product.

Climacool is available in running products, tennis products, and basketball products. I think the OP was asking what model of climacool shoes the finns are using, not where to get them.

I would suggest just going to a store and finding a shoe that works for you. There really isn't anything magical about any shoe . . . list your priorities for the shoe, and find one that works for you.

Okay, the model is the original Clima Cool (Clima Cool Original). The very first model of the serie, also known as Clima Cool Confort. There's a picture of it:

You can also have them in white color.

You are about two years late. Since adidas is making new models which are better for running they don't make those anymore. I just checked out adidas outlet here in Finland and all I could find was size 6½ women shoes. So maybe if you're lucky you can find them, but I was unable to get them from local stores a year ago so only place I would check would be adidas outlets.

The shoe itself is wonderful. I feel kinda pointless praising this shoe when you can't have it anymore, but I do it anyways.

The insides are great, but you have to modify them a little bit. Most of the people use just silicon but you can try out whatever you like as long as you get the inside filled. In example Lasse Salmenhaara plays without mods, so it's just how you like 'em the most. If you find yourself picking up the bag constantly when it rolls off from your clipper, I would recommend climacools to you.

Toes are the reason why most of the players say no to climas right away. There's no toe box, how can you stall with those? Well it was difficult for me after playing five years with lavers, but there's some players in Finland that have started with climas and they find the toes quite enjoyable. It's better for pixies and when you learn to really stall the bag from the beginning, it isn't hard at all. The difficulty comes when you are used to play with lavers toe box and don't stall the bag, but let the toe box do the stall for you. I would say that you can be equally good toe player with climas than with lavers, though some sets are easier with climas.

Anyway the reason why I really use climacools is because they are so light. You can feel it in double dexes. Another great reason is the comfort they give to your leg. They really feel good and you can play more than with rod lavers (it depends on person, some players can play endlessly with lavers also). I couldn't do symposium tricks or any big tricks with lavers. I switched to climas and I found out that I could jump higher and when I landed, it didn't hurt and I was able to move on with the next trick alot easier. These are the real advantages of clima cools.

The shoes has good durability also. I've played one year with my shoes, though most of that time indoors, and I will certainly be playing another year with these shoes, maybe one after that. Though asphalt is bad for the soles so you might want to avoid that.

I played five years with lavers and then switched to Climas. I personally progressed alot during the last year and I'd say Climas are definitely part of the reason. Of course I had to do my homework, but the shoes made it possible.

The only minus of the shoe is the toes, what can be turned to your own advantage. So in my opinion, climas are better than lavers in every way there is :) I hate to see rolling drops from clippers and too slow double dexes when I know they would be fixed instantly with climas :) Well I can't even convince my brother so you probably won't listen to me at all :) And yeah, you will be having hard time to even get the shoe for the first place :)

I haven't tried them, but seen many of them, and I don't think they are suitable for footbag.

I had my first time really shredding in my new CLIMACOOLS. I must say that I am a BIG fan and full out supporter now!

Here is a picture of the way the inside surface used to look (note: i reaallize that this is the outside surface of the shoe, but I had already modded the inside when these shots were taken, but this is what the inside did look like before I swear)

And then I dremelled off the air scooping fins and shoe gooed a bridge for the inside surface.

Now I must say that these shoes are a delight to play in! I am springy and crisp and I love it! They are a supportive shoe that is a real shoe and not a few pieces of cloth and rubber laced to my foot. There is NO disadvantage to playing in these shoes. You do not sacrifice anything relative to a laver and infact you GAIN alot for all the energy the super springy design returns!

The mesh that is left on my inside surface is SEETHROUGH thin!
Also the shoe can be worn barefoot with no fear of sticky foot because of the super smart Clima Cool design. It has airscoops everywhere that are designed to suck up air while you run. That is the part I took off with my rotary grinding tool (my trusty Dremel), what is left is less than a millimetre thick strip of rubber which does not impede anything and It is actually very grippy.

I made the bridge by layering about 20 coats of shoe goo over the period of a few hours. I was very diligent in doing that though. As in, I was right into the next coat as soon as the previous one was dry enough to handle it. With each subsequent layer I had to really mould it and be careful not to ruin the whole thing as it was still rather ductile.

I used a piece of plastic to smooth out each small glob I would squeeze out onto the arch. It built up reallly slowly but surely and now I have a full clipper rail that is VERY solid (nooo fears of this coming out!) and that does not alter the feel of the shoe in any way. I feared that putting this in would stiffen up a bend spot and that would require a slit or something in the arch but as it turns out the flex point of the shoe is directly under the toes and thus the arch is actually a stiff component of the shoe!

Right, so they have big open air intakes at all sides of the shoe! if you take out the insole you can see right through the whole thing in many places! I was webcamming with Joe Kulacz tonight and I had the camera showing me but through my shoe.

Uhh... anyways, they play great and they complement my style very well!
They encourage you to stay on your toes, I am almost never touching my heels when I play in them.

My clipper game and my toe game are really improving. I have a very precise place I like to catch the clipper and it is so nice in there. Also, it seems that the shoe is as forgiving as a laver if you don't quite line up the clipper perfectly.

The toe area is nice and flat with a foot in it. I was dubious when I looked at shots online but it really makes a nice pocket around your toes as you arch them up naturally. This may sound strange but the fact that they are slightly thicker than my cloth (modded leather) lavers is an advantage. They are still quite thin and they make it easy to feel the bag, but they aren't so thin as to have my toes arching up ruin the flatness of the toe area. Perhaps it is a better fit with my foot, but the whole shoe feels very.. attached and I feel confident in them.

Also it should be noted that I have a slightly different model than Jere. He has the first line and I have Climacool 2's. The only real difference is that his has a little plastic bridge in the arch of his shoe between the heel half and toe halves. They fill up that area usually I believe as opposed to building a wall like I did.

Give them a try if you can find them not too difficultly.

Vasek cheats. He has a pair of lavers that give him the ability to hit any trick he wants, vasek is a sham, it's all his shoes.

I could hit nem>ripstein>rpt in those shoes if I wanted.
