footbag injury

Post by habitat »

How many times, if any, have you injured yourself directly from playing footbag? The other day I was going for superfly and totally just landed straight crook style on my anks and it took me out for about 2 days, and about 9 months ago when I first started to learn smears, I straight bailed from 3 feet off the ground on to my ankle after the pixie. I was laughed at because it was right in the middle of self-defence class.

Anyone else getting injured at all from playing, or trying something out of your current skill level? Because it really sucks when you cant play and you see others playing. :x

Only injury I've really had was a bad sprained ankle, swollen and blue completely around my ankle and foot. Took me a couple months to get over that, then I had to get surgery on my knee right after my ankle got better, took a couple months to get over that also. The knee had nothing to do with footbag though. Ankle injuries are the enemy of every freestyler, be careful.
