Last pannle :(

i have a bag that just needs the last pannle sewn in... how do you do this? can any one give me a link to help or just tell me the way i need to sew or something ... plz

1) Stich it except for the last one or two seams.

2) flip it inside out.

3) Imagine the path the needle takes when stiching the panel with the bag outside in . . . and do that path from the outside.

4) Pull the thread to close the hole.

umm u mean right side in, for number 2? i have all of it done but for one last side of the pannle i need to do, and its right side in, like the pannles i will be kicking are faceing me, so what i just take my good old time and bunch it up and sew it like that ? i tryed this.. its hard

I know some people do the last seam really loose, and then flip the bag rightside in

and pull the thread.

I do the last stiches after flipping the bag rightside in. the last few stitches look kinda like this
across the seam. So the thread goes into and back out of the bag on one side, crosses to the other side, goes in comes out and crosses back . . . repeat, lather rinse, repeat.

edit: pull the seam together one stitch at a time to better get the panels to go inside the bag.
Pull the last thread out the other side of the bag . . . wrapped it around some other random thread from a seam to make a knot.

it's called inside stitch....go figure....

that was a great little picture you got up there tsiangkun... i've had a horribly unsuccessfull time trying to explain inside stitch to people, that would hopefully help... i mean, i think i'd get it just looking at that picture...yet again i know how to stitch it so....

no no i observed the bags an stuff an see how its done an i imaged it that way but i have more convedence now that i know im doing it right so im gonna try

I've found success with stitching the whole thing last panel, but leaving it loose so its just floating on the threads, then turning it inside out then I need only pull the thread tight and make the knot. This is the only way I've been able to do it and have the last panel look like all the others,

That's what I do. I just think its easier to make it look the same as the oters that way, because you're sewing it the same way.

I use the insidestitch "proper" way. I think it's easier and mine look exactly like the other seams. The only difference is, that I do not pull the seam together at every stitch, I sew it loose (from the outside) and pull it together after the last stitch...
