when i saw that i think i saw a democrat in there. he was clapping with out much effort and looking wide eyed around the room at every body else with an "i'm at the wrong convention again, aren't i?" mixed with an "are we all hearing the same speach? how can you people be clapping???" kind of look on his face. i pointed him out to every one in the room when the camera scrolled by him for a few seconds and we all had a good laugh.

That's how I became a Republican."

The US voters should just decide to put all the political candidates + a couple of guest-stars (aging porn star, NFL quarterback, Britney Spears and the like), have them redecorate the White House's west-wing for 6 weeks, filmed 24/7, and let the US citizens vote them off one by one. Last one there keeps the presidency.

It can't turn out much worse than it already is no?

Good idea Max! Maybe then we could get more of the voting-age population involved and just forget about our embarrasing poll turnouts.

You think like a good ol' American.

"Girlie Men ?"

Does he mean men who wear speedos and lubricate their entire body with babyoil before posing for a group of men ?

1) Republicans are business men.
2) The economy sucks
3) War brings instability to the world
4) Bush has not improved the economy, but has brought additional instability into the equation.

Clearly any republican worth the snot in his nose knows the economy is not a joking matter. Someone dismissing it as "girlie men " gets a huge round of applause ??? WTF ???

Is this administration serious about getting the economy rolling or not ? Obviously the huge applause suggests that they don't really care. Probably because the worse it gets, the larger share of the pie they aquire.

So be proud of yourself.
Don't worry I can't vote yet, and because I can't, it is my official decision that I obviosly don't know enough to make decisions about polotics... just poking some fun at all the people up here who are super left wing, didn't mean for you to take it seriosly, I don't really follow politics...
