Hemmite

I found some tiny beads made of hemmite. There really samll and heavy so I think they make a good filler? Has anyone experment with hemmite?

For thoes who don't know Hemmite (sp?) is a type of rock usally used in necklaces and stuff.

Well, I tried it out and it work really well! It made my bag nice and heavy. I would put it in all my bags but it's has a steep price tag (4.00 for one bag). So, I not going to se it alot.

I believe you mean hematite.
I've used lead and it was very heavy, but it rubbed off all over the inside of the bag, and I'm sure it wouldn't be good for small children to chew on the bag...
I'm now using steel BBs.
The heaviest materials to use would be uranium, plutonium, or gold... All of which would be extremely expensive, or very dangerous...
Maybe someone could make a bag filled with mercury?

Are bb's really good? I thought I read some where they falke off and stuff. Were can I get them at?

Check just like wal mart,if they have them up there,or gun stores should have them or recreation shops. I wouldnt recommend a bag filled with just them. They can make the bag rolly, bb's and a mixture of plastic pellets works well.

i found one time a bag of small metal cubes,like realllly small about the size of a large bb(used for necklaces)..i wanted to get em cuase they would of made a perfect none rolly filler,but didnt have any $$ now i cant find em!

Hmmm, but woldn't BB's hurt? What does Abshire, Felix, Carol, or Lonn use in there bags as filler?

bb's don't hurt at all, even with removed canvas. Actually bb's are good, make the bag weight more which helps stalls cause it collapses more. I find it easier to set with a bag with bb's in it cause you have more feel to it.

I bought some recently at a store with a friend, and it cost something like 10$ (Canadian) for 2500 bb's. They came in a small milk-carton.

The only thing with standard size bb's, the kind for regular bb guns is they're a little big. None of my current bags, Abshire reg and mini, Lonn Irish or Fred bag use filler near that size.
A few that I've made and filled with them, I found undesireable.

ales fills his bags entirely with bb's. i think the other czechs do as well, they like the weight.
