GMAIL used as a footbag archive for all??

maybe we can donate a gmail account and publish the username/password on here.
and we can use it so people can download videos from the archive.
i don't know if they would allow double logins...

I'm fairly certain they have a size cap on the the size of attachments. Precisely so that gmail accounts aren't used for warez archives ..

Steve Goldberg works for Google - perhaps you can ask him? Then again he'll probably ask you why you can't afford to spend $10 to get unlimited space at footbag.org and support the IFPA.

Perhaps all those people that can't afford it (

) could pool their money together and get an account to share? - If you all do that, I'll even throw in 10% even though I'm already a member!!

yeah think about it, you could hold like 18 well edited vids, thats saying they are around lets say 55 mb a piece

only you say. But that's not bad... Get some of the best by a vote in there. Like a democratic vote... But the problem is that is anyone could add and delete videos as they see fit. It could be valueable, but it could also be taken advantage of.

I'm sorry, but I find it very hard to understand how people cannot afford $10 per year.

If you put aside 10 cents a day it will take 100 days ( 14 and a bit weeks) to raise the money. If you go halves with somebody it will take half that - or four people could put in $2.50 each. Seriously $2.50 is not a lot of money. I'm sure there is something you can afford to go without for a very small period of time so you can save up $2.50 and find three other people who want to become partner members in one IFPA membership. If you ever plan on competing at an IFPA sponsored event you have to pay anyway.

I've noticed a lot of north american's comparing footbag in north america to europe and saying it's much harder to get the public to understand it's a serious sport etc. I also notice that the majority of europeans are IFPA members and a much smaller percentage of north americans are (or at least it seems that way) - perhaps the difference is that north american's don't put footbag as high on their priority list as europeans.

I'm am completely broke and there is nothing the IFPA gives me that I can't already get somewhere else. Yet I am a member because $10 isn't a lot to support the sport I love.

Lots of people are complaining about the speed of downloads from footbag.org - perhaps if you supported the organisation and joined up they would have more money and could afford to upgrade to more servers.

The time will soon come when I have to renew my IFPA membership and I'll start putting away my loose change just for that

Come on now, you know that’s not true!

Everybody has different shit going on in his or her lives that may prevent them or lower joining on their list.

Yes, maybe some North America’s (me inculeing) aren’t as decated (sp?) as maybe some Europeans. Maybe some North America’s are much more decated (sp?) than some Europeans are.

Moreover, judging how much they love Footbag on if they joined IFPA is silly.

But I do agree with you on the money issue. Almost everybody can afford 10 dollars.

$2.50 is not a lot of money.

Maybe you don't know what you can buy for 2.50, at oldies.com you can buy 1 vynle single for 2.50... but yeh 10 dollars ain't that much, it's better to just pay and support your sport in the progress. It might be the fact that people don't have a credit card to sign up with....

if you don't have a credit card you can send a cheque. If you don't have a cheque book you can into your bank and ask them to write you one or go to a post office and get a money order or something. Or you could find someone with a cheque book or credit card - give them $10 and get them to do it.
