Taking Steps to improve

Post by JFootbagger »

Do you ever try to work on a component in a move to be able to hit it? Like with Clipper...I've heard of people practicing the up and downward motion for the craddle. Or like..."dexercise"...rotating your knee so it's cordianted enough for the simple atw? The other day, I was having trouble with my fairies (leg kept hitting the bag), so I just practiced the dexing part (since that's what gave me trouble) and it seemed to work. Do you guys ever do this?

I do this rather often. Right now I have been watching the new worlds video over and over in slow mo, practicing the motion for barraging sets, the closest I came was just a cool looking barrage, but I hope to hit it in the next 2 months. :D

Yeah, I do this sometimes as well, esp the knee circles for atws. Often, I think about moves and do the movement without the footbag, but addmittedly I sometimes get a little too carried away and go on some imaginary Guiltless run (only when I'm solo shreddin')...

Anyway, I think focused training is important because it forces you to see your own mistakes and work on them.
