If you have invites, there will be a little blue bar above your inbox that says 'Invite a friend to Gmail.'
If you don't have it then you don't have any invites.

Stephen gave me one a while ago -- thanks Stephen. My email is [email protected]. I haven't used it much yet, because I don't really get any email, so I have yet to earn invites. How do you earn them? I mean if I recieve, like, 10 emails do I get a single invite, or something?

Hmm - I'm not sure - I think I had invites right from the moment I signed up. Although there wasn't anywhere that said so immediatly - but when I recieved an email from a non gmail address it asked if I wanted to invite that person and when I did invite someone who had emailed me suddenly a message telling my how many invites I had left. They seem to go up every few weeks or something - I'm not too sure.

I just discovered you can do things like this.

register tsiangkun \@ gmail.com . . . then at some later date when some nasty site needs an email address . . . and I need to get a sekrit key for something so it has to be legit. I can just create a fake address like

[email protected] and the auto filter the contents as crap once i have the sekrit key.

pretty cool.

or you can just do this to dodge spam

when it asks for your email just put

(anynameyouwant)@dodgeit.com

dodgeit.com is an actual site and you just make a name up and thats the service they provide
