Hoffa Stitching Log..

Well i desided i would make a stitching log, that way i can post my newest bags and ideas fillers and hopeing for alot of feedback. to day i completed my first bag, dosent kick normal very well, but stalls awsome and sets nice, its not shaped very well, and is sand( 4 pannle ) i think it was a good first go

it made me very intrested in learing more and starting to stitch

ill up date with some pics when its light out and i can take a good pics

Hoffa a nice name to name your bags if you ever start selling. It's like "Yeah, my brand new hoffa just came!" Hoffa is tight.

If you like the 4-panel design, I would reccommend trying a 6 panel. It's extremely easy to make, and I think it turns out a bit rounder than a 4 panel. I made mine out of crushed panne, and I basically just estimated everything. You cut 6 squares out of the fabric, shaving the ends of each edge down slightly, but still leaving a nice corner, then sew it together as if it were a cube. If you gather enough, it comes out very round, much rounder than the 4 panels I've seen. Mine has 17 grams of BBs plus a lot of sand. Finished diameter is 1.75 inches, weight is just a hair under 40 grams. In this picture, it's the one on the far right. the other bags are some of my other experiments. (2 in the middle are actually my wife's experiements, including a very odd star-shaped 6 panel she made on a whim. Our house seems to be a mad footbag lab this week. :P

crushed panne ??? is this what mr sands are made out of? and where can i get it?

Yes, Mr. Sandbags are made from this. You can get it at almost any fabric store. It's called Crushed Panne or Flaming Velvet (in europe)
Once you know what it looks like, go to charity shops (goodwill), and look for clothes made of it. Sometimes you can find good quality fabric for dirt cheap at goodwill.
