Hey,
About 2 months ago Jake (rayofevil - he doesnt post much) sent me a bag to test out for free, with the promise that I'd write a review after i felt it had broken in and such.
The bag i received is tan and blue, 4 panel, and filled with aquarium rocks. Normally i wouldnt think a 4 panel rock filled bag would be anything special, but i was actually quite surprised. When the bag first came, it was very packed and very small. At this time, and maybe for the first month or so, the bag wasn't anything special. I didnt session with it, i would just warm up with it. So i put it to the side for a while and figured id come back to it later. I would walk around with it in my pocket and stuff, and around last wednesday i took the bag out and started playing with it. Oddly enough, it was 10x better then before. This little thing sticks! The bag is very very small, although Jake said he normally makes them larger. You can do some really tight dexes with it and if you have good form on clippers and such you wont have to much of a problem with roll of. Be warned though, if your used to sandbags (im not, i kick 32's) this bag will probably be a hassle to stall, since you do have to be pretty solid with it.
Either way, i like the bag. I got it for free, so i wasnt expecting anything, and what i got was a decent bag that I'll school small window tricks with. The stitching seems pretty good, and its held together well. No holes as of yet, i beleive the material is some sort of facile? If your looking for a cheap bag, and you like small ones, i think this might be a good choice. Hell, theyre only 8 bucks anyway. Jake says he can make different sizes, so if small aint your thing, i guess you can fix that. Plus, i think this might be a good bag to transistion from sand to bead with. The only downfalls are that the bag smells for a while becuase of the aqaurium rocks, and dont expect this bag to be anything great within like the first month or 2. i guess since its only 4 panel and the filler is so solid it takes a while to work itself out. This bag probably isnt as great as some 35 dollar 32 panel, but it gets the job done, and I'll shred with it at least once a week when i want to give my carols and what not a break. You can get in touch with Jake through [email protected].
Peace,
David Clavens
