Edmonton Jam to replace Shred Zero?
Edmonton Jam to replace Shred Zero?
So Rory and I have been tossing around this idea. With the Calgary club all but disbanded, someone in Alberta's gotta step up, and with Edmonton's growing scene, this seems like the place to do it.
The Shred Zero jam happened in the lsat weekend in June. That's when ours would be, most likely the 24th, 25th, and 26th.
Furthermore, we figured it'd give an alternative to those who cannot afford to go all the way to Finland for Worlds next year.
We figured, Shred 30, Rippin Run, Sick 3, and an informal Big Trick (Show off your shit) event'd be good. We were debating whether to have routines, going with the theme of, "Come to Edmonton if you can't go to Helsinki".
We've got some good ideas for locations, and events and what not, and based upon people's response here, we may go ahead with investigating other arrangements, such as DJs, hotels, media coverage, etc.
So basically, this is not a done deal at all.
If it were to happen, it'd be in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, June 24th, 25th, and 26th. Give us a shout out here, should we make this thing happen?

Hmm... seeing as how I can't go to Helsinki... I might have to consider this.

So I threw a poll up top. Lots of people have said things like, "I'd totally come maybe!" or, "I'd love to come!" or, "If the money's right!" or whatever.
I'm just looking to get some really really really ballpark numbers as far as what to think. Help me out a bit.
