True. Also, if you pick apart someone else's words, expect yours to be scrutanized as well.

But to be honest, all these rappers have lost touch with what it's like to be in the ghetto. They're making insane amounts of money, and then they sing about stuff they don't know anything about anymore. It just doesn't work like that in my mind.

yeah, but on this song Snoop dropped it on a minimalistic raw drum track . . .
Very difficult to pull off, and I think snoop failed due to his style and limited flows.

anyways,
I think most people miss the point of rap music that talks about the drug dealer lifestyle. The point is not to get into the drug/street game, the point is to get out of the hood. The reason they are superstars is because they got out, not because they sold drugs, and pimped bitches.
Rap is a way to get out of the hood, by telling about the experiences one had in the ghetto. HipHop is first and foremost an educational tool, and emcees that forget this have lost touch with the real HipHop movement.

You gotta blame Pharrel cause he came up with the beat and snoop just dropped the lyrics.

I like drop it like its hot better than that song "beautiful", the last song snoop and pharrel worked on. I got really sick of that song.
