haha ... this kinda makes me laugh ... cuz hes the one who told me to keep on playing and stuff like that ... plus all the stuff he got for footbag .. like many pairs of lavers and a pair of NB. many footbags ... and he went to worlds! that right there showed that he likes the sport ... that just sucks that someone can all of a sudden say they quit ....

that's funny that he'd quit right after worlds, but I can kinda relate, I guess. I bummed out for a while after worlds, and I've gone long periods of time where footbag was totally on the back burner. everyone goes through that. if footbag's right for them, they come back. if not, that's that.

Well, if time doesn't permit him, you can't blame him. Especially when it comes to school and such. Try to encourage him and get him back into it when he has time.

That...was...great!

Jim, if you are reading any of this, I must say that you were progressing quite nicely. Though you may have confused the heck out of all of us with the osising symp whirl, we still believe that you are a good footbagger. Maybe all you needed was a long break. I agree with Chris though in that I really don't think it possible to actually quit.

SOOO, if you are reading this, you should take it back up again. If not, well thats your decision, but honestly, I do not see how you could just quit. I've been frustrated many a time at footbag. Problems such as my strings have sucked, or a move i've been working on hasn't come around yet (janiwalker, whirlwind, cough cough), or a component that i've been working on forever still isn't cleaning itself up (flip pixie sets).

Its all a matter of time. What you need to do is just find something about footbag that makes you happy. If all you can do is small tiltless runs, for example, expand on that. Tiltless runs are still impressive. Don't try to push yourself too hard or you will get frustrated, and you will, like I have, think about quiting.

Keep in there. You're missing out on a sport that is not known by everyone (everyone knows what basketball is basically), and for that matter, its very special that you are talented enough to footbag. COME BACK OR ELSE !

yeah even if you play a little here and there, you will be hella good by the time footbaggers are considered "cool" to the general public, like skaters. in which case YOU would be hella cool to everyone you come in contact with... :D

i know exactly what hes going through, dont worry about it, he'll get back into it, footbag becomes a part of your genetic code after awhile. you cant just deny what you were born with. the genes will win.
