Who are the Top 3 Shredders in _______ country?

I was wondering about this the other day, and I thought it was cool that so many countries have so many high level shredders these days. Here`s my general impression. Feel free to post your opinion, especially if you live in one of these countries. Also, feel free to post them in order of player skill if you want, but sometimes I think that`s too hard. Sometimes on my list I rank the top styler, but not the other 2. That said, here we go.

I've been thinking for a while that there should be nation based competition at worlds. Each coutry submits 3 or so players for a shred 30 competition, and the scores are added up. Your list makes it pretty clear that there are a good number of countries that have the required depth of open level players.

You could even go crazy with it, and designate some role to each player. Say, each team has a toe shred 30 player, a clipper shred 30 player, and a regular shred 30 player. I think that this would be a killer competition format.

I would count Ellis for Canada I guess. As for the comments posted so far, here are my thoughts:

USA- Ahren and Pete definitely crossed my mind. But the one I was most tempted to slot in the third place was Ricky Moran. Hard to say though, since I havent seen recent Ricky or Lon.

Canada- All I know for sure is that Jorden Moir is in the top 3. After that... geez. Sebastien, Dylan Fry, Eli, Yax, Nick Laroche, Haggett. Hard to say for sure.

What about Sebastien, Yax, and Dylan Fry for Canada? I'd say all of those are close to on par with Allan and Jorden.

I dont know the montreal guys and only saw a bit of their shredding at worlds but putting that aside I have played with both allan and jorden and they are top two in canada for sure.

USA you got irish, or bevier who i would say are the next best american dudes. I think irish might be a little better in the circles, but bevier is coming up inroutines. You cant forget pinkus though... Hes more underground but can do shit nobody else can. He gets major respect from ales.

I kinda anticipated this might be a problem. The way I posed my initial question, it really was supposed to mean `who are the best three nationals from any given country.` I don`t actually know if Eli has Canadian citizenship, so I`m not 100% sure if I`d count him or not. But on the other hand, he has been living there for a good while, he has a Canadian wife, and he generally blends in appearance and language-wise.

If somebody were to ask me: `Ken, are you Japanese?` I wouldn`t hesitate to say `no.` I am half-Japanese, but I`m not a Japanese citizen, and I know that even if I lived here the rest of my life, I would never be fully accepted as `Japanese.` There are several reasons for this, but I (and the rest of Japanese footbaggers) don`t consider me to be Japanese.

So this survey is more about people who live in/ have assimilated into the culture of X_______ country. I live in Japan, but I`m more of a visitor than anything.

I will explain in my blog later on why I competed for Japan the last 2 years in a row.

PS- No idea how I didn`t think of Sunil for the 3rd American slot. With my American selections, I know that Lon is top 3 for sure, but the other 2 slots are very debatable. I think that`s cool though, that Canada and US have such a high level of footbag that its hard to come up with a top 3.

Interesting idea...
Don't know about my country... -would have to think about it or wait till after the we've had the Danish Championships.
As for the German players I would say that Stefan Siegert is definately one of the top players.... If I'm not mistaken he is the German Champ...!!

Yes, Stefan is the german champ and I also think that he's one of the top shredders in Germany. I especially like his pixies and quantum shuffles.

stefan shreds hard and performed a fantastic routine at the german champs finals. but matze definately earns his place in top three german shredders. i think he is often underrated because he plays so effortlessly and controled and is not a "fighter" like others. but in fact he can hit almost anything and is probably the most bothsided player i know with a huge repertoire of concepts.
