I wonder if the only reason why Florida has been getting hit with all these hurricanes is because of the last election in all because the last election the entire state of florida had to recount all there votes. even though its election year and hurricane season and Florida has been hit twice so far anyone see a connection???

I see a connection but not to the election. Maybe to Jeb Bush, but not the election.

Seriously though in revelations (correct me o' scholarly religion fanatics), it mentions many storms during the second coming. Last night on the news I learned that Florida will be hit by 4 before it's over. First Frances, then Ivan, then gene, then Carl.

I do not remember on record of 4 hurricanes in one single season, but I am only 29 and have no idea what the record is for Florida.

There is also a hurricane nailing the hell out of the opposite coast line in Mexico. It is creating super waves in San Diego, and may or may not make it this far north. I am surprised that all these storms have not made more headlines (Alan would you agree?).

No hurricane has hit the California Coast since records began, but a tropical storm with 50 mph winds did come ashore at Long Beach on Sept. 25, 1939, killing at least 45 people.

In 1961 a total of 7 developed, but only a few were greater than level 3.

I don't know how many of those struck Florida.

that's pretty cool to see one hurricane, then another, then another and so on. I've only heard of a hurricane every few years. This is the first time I've seen more than 2 back-to-back. Sorry if this doesn't have anything to do with the election thing.

its a sign that i should move back to PA. or at least thats what im telling my parents. lol. i make them feel guilty, witch they should. anyways all these hurricanes suck but i get out of school. like for Charley i got a week off. and frances i got 3 days off. shrug. im gonna have to make up those days during christmas vaction. w/e. thank god i didnt have any damage cause i live in central fl

i agree on that but i seen this black and white news paper on a store a couple of weeks ago and the headline said the election was going to be canceled because the machines that tally the vote up where made in Florida but i doubt thats going to happen. i forgot what the newspaper it was called but i think it was that news papers that talk about UFO's and mars and stuff like that. could of been the "world news" newspaper
